Evaluating the 10th grade math exam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, Le Hoai Nam, acknowledged that this is an entrance exam in which the exam questions demonstrate high differentiation to select students for each suitable school.
"Currently, there are many schools with different levels, so it is not possible to evaluate whether the exam is easy or difficult, but rather how many percent of students are good or average through the exam... Difficulty is general difficulty, so it does not affect the candidates' choice of wishes," Mr. Nam expressed.
Regarding the Literature exam scores, some examiners rated the scores quite positively. There were more 8 points than last year, with the highest score range being 6-7 points. The open, flexible answers allowed candidates to express their opinions.
For English, an examiner said that there were quite a lot of 9s and 10s, while below average scores were less than in previous years.
After the exam scores are announced, if candidates need to request a review, they can submit an application from June 21 to 24. It is expected that at 4:00 p.m. on June 24, the Department of Education and Training will announce the benchmark scores for specialized, integrated, and direct admission 10th graders.
From June 25 to 4:00 p.m. on June 29, candidates admitted to specialized classes, integrated classes, and direct admission must submit their admission applications to the school they were admitted to. Candidates who do not submit their admission applications will have their names removed from the admission list.
On June 30, the results of the re-examination were announced. On July 5, the specialized and integrated high school organized to receive additional candidates admitted after the re-examination.
It is expected that on July 10, Ho Chi Minh City will announce the 10th grade benchmark scores and the list of candidates admitted to 10th grade for the 2024-2025 school year.
