Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, recently requested the construction unit to continue focusing human and material resources to ensure the Quang Da Bridge Project and its approach roads are completed on schedule, striving to conduct technical traffic opening by March 29, 2025.

Mr. Vinh emphasized that this project is of significant importance in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang city, as well as in connecting the two localities of Da Nang and Quang Nam .

The Quang Da Bridge and approach road project has a total investment of over 274 billion VND. Currently, Da Nang still has 5 out of 156 dossiers that have not yet had the land handover minutes signed. Of these, only two dossiers along the main road axis, specifically along National Highway 14B, remain outstanding.

In Quang Nam province, there are 11 land clearance cases for bridge construction, and the land has been handed over. In addition, five cases ( agricultural land) requiring clearance for the construction of a connecting concrete road under the bridge have not yet been handed over.

Currently, the project has completed 64% of the contract value, with the bridge section being 75% complete. The road, drainage, and irrigation ditch sections along the approach road are approximately 35% complete.

To ensure the completion of the entire route for technical traffic opening before March 29, 2025, the Da Nang Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation and Agricultural Works has agreed on a plan to complete the bridge's joining before March 8, and to pave the road and bridge surfaces with asphalt concrete to ensure technical traffic opening before March 29.

During an on-site inspection of the National Highway 14B renovation and upgrade project on the afternoon of February 7th, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Nguyen Dinh Vinh, commended and acknowledged Hoa Vang district and the construction unit for closely following the directives of the City Party Secretary during the project inspection on December 3rd, 2024.

Mr. Vinh suggested that the Hoa Vang District People's Committee continue to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to focus on resolving obstacles so that land clearance is carried out according to the plan; ensuring other factors related to the project; and at the same time, continue to propagate and mobilize people to hand over the land to avoid affecting the project's progress.

In addition, relevant agencies and units are focusing on mobilizing human resources and machinery to accelerate the project's progress, ensuring it is completed on schedule as committed to the city.

The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14B has a total investment of over 788 billion VND. Handover agreements have been signed for 1,045 out of 1,069 land handover files. Of these, the Department of Transport has actually received 495 land handover files. The remaining files have only had handover agreements signed, but due to the Lunar New Year holiday, the structures have not yet been dismantled.

Currently, the Hoa Vang District People's Committee is organizing efforts to persuade residents to dismantle structures and hand over remaining documents, striving to complete the process by February 2025. According to the City People's Committee's decision, the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14B, classified as Group I-2024, must complete compensation and land clearance work in 2024. To date, a significant amount of compensation and land clearance remains, with 573 files still pending.
