Accordingly, under the direct direction of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), working groups under the Market Management Department of Da Nang have inspected many fashion stores with signs of trading in counterfeit goods of famous brands on central tourist streets of the city.

The working groups inspected a series of fashion stores including Black Label (156 Tran Phu), CoCo Accessory & Bag (144 Tran Phu), Gu (27 Hung Vuong), Mirror Shop (15 Nguyen Thai Hoc), all located in Hai Chau district - a central area with a large number of tourists, especially international visitors.

Despite conducting surprise inspections, the authorities still recorded many stores closing unexpectedly, pulling curtains to cover the front, and locking the latches from the inside to avoid inspection. Notably, the Black Label store owned by Mr. TTC, which specializes in selling famous "branded" bags and wallets, stands out.

Here, the store staff refused to serve Vietnamese customers, citing the reason of "temporary closure to change business location", but welcomed foreign customers and locked the door when they entered. Market management forces applied professional measures to conduct a surprise inspection and discovered that inside the store were selling many products of famous brands such as Chanel, LV, Gucci, Dior, Celine, YSL... at unusually low prices.

A bag introduced as Chanel 22 shiny calfskin with gold-plated metal lock costs only 8.6 million VND, while a similar product on Chanel's official website is listed for nearly 162 million VND - a difference of up to 95%.

At CoCo Accessory & Bag (144 Tran Phu), owned by Ms. NTTH, the inspection team recorded many models of bags, wallets, and shoes branded with LV, Chanel, Hermes, YSL... being sold for only a few hundred thousand to less than 2 million VND per product.

At the remaining stores on Nguyen Thai Hoc and Hung Vuong streets, authorities temporarily seized many fashion products such as clothes, shoes, belts... bearing the brands Burberry, Chanel, LV, Celine, YSL.

According to the summary of the working groups, on May 20 alone, nearly 2,000 products including handbags, wallets, clothes, accessories, shoes bearing famous brands such as Hermès, Chanel, Gucci, Christian Dior, Celine, Prada, Louis Vuitton... and many other goods of unknown origin, without invoices and documents were temporarily detained at the inspected stores to continue verifying signs of violations and handling them in accordance with the law.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development said it will continue to expand inspections nationwide in the coming time, especially in large urban areas and key areas. After the inspection, to ensure that stores do not repeat the sale of counterfeit goods, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development will assign responsibility to local functional units such as the Department of Industry and Trade and the Market Management Department.
