This list includes both ongoing and planned new development areas, widely distributed across various sub-districts and localities such as Lien Chieu, Hoa Xuan, Ngu Hanh Son, Cam Le, Hoa Khanh, An Khe, Ba Na, and adjacent linked areas.
Of the 113 approved locations, 24 areas are planned for housing development under specific projects. Some notable areas and sub-areas include: Apartment Building No. 10 Trinh Cong Son (Han Riverfront and East Bank sub-area); Land plot A2-4 on Ngu Hanh Son Street (leading to Tien Son Bridge); Land plots B4-1 and B4-2 in Hoa Hiep 4 Resettlement Area (High-Tech sub-area); and the worker housing area in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone (planning plots A5 and B4).
Notable large-scale projects include the Tam Hoa - Tam Tien Urban Area (approximately 20.3 hectares); Residential Area No. 1 in Hoa Tien commune (approximately 20.2 hectares); Chu Lai Urban Area (Nui Thanh commune) (approximately 17.4 hectares); and Van Phuc - Hoi An Social Housing Area (Hoi An Tay ward) (approximately 12.41 hectares). Da Nang City also added a series of new locations within the following sub-zones: Innovation, Lien Chieu Seaport, Hillside, and Green Core Center.
To expedite progress, the City People's Committee is applying a special mechanism in selecting investors. For land where no investor has been selected, the investor will be assigned or the investment policy will be approved without bidding (based on the pilot law on special mechanisms for social housing development).
For land proposed by investors, the Department of Construction will coordinate with relevant agencies to review the needs, planning suitability, and conditions for land use conversion before advising the City People's Committee for approval. The city assigns relevant units to review and advise on the use of state budget funds to carry out compensation, land clearance, and synchronous investment in technical infrastructure outside the project boundaries to create clean land.
The Da Nang City People's Committee has assigned the Department of Construction the responsibility of publicly announcing the list of projects to attract investment; reviewing and adjusting planning indicators; monitoring progress; and resolutely handling and inspecting investors who are behind schedule or fail to ensure quality. The Department is required to report on progress and any obstacles encountered to the City People's Committee on a quarterly basis. Departments, agencies, and localities should strengthen professional supervision and inspection. Simultaneously, community monitoring should be promoted to ensure projects are implemented according to plan and quality standards, preventing losses and waste.
