On May 27, at the press conference announcing the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival, Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, said that the city is implementing many solutions to welcome visitors from the Halal market (Muslim tourists) and the Middle East.
According to Mr. Vuong, the Middle East is one of the potential international markets that Da Nang is actively promoting.
It is expected that on June 2, Emirates Airlines will operate the route Dubai (UAE) - Bangkok (Thailand) - Da Nang (Vietnam) with a frequency of 4 flights/week.

The opening of this route takes place in the context of the recently signed Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Vietnam and the UAE. This is considered a strategic move, not only to attract high-end tourists from the Middle East and Europe but also to contribute to enhancing the position of Central Vietnam tourism on the international map.
Previously, at the Online Seminar Introducing Da Nang Tourism to the Middle East Market, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, emphasized that the Middle East market is one of the potential international tourist segments that Da Nang is aiming for.
Da Nang is the third city in Vietnam, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, to be put into operation by Emirates Airlines since June 2.
Currently, Da Nang city has prepared the infrastructure conditions to serve the Middle Eastern and Halal tourist market.
The city has organized training and guidance for department staff on the typical and basic culture of this tourist market; coordinated the organization of seminars on applying Halal standards at accommodation and dining establishments...

Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Danang City Tourism Association, said that connecting the Dubai - Danang flight route helps passengers from the Middle East and Europe to come to Danang more conveniently than ever.
According to Mr. Dung, Da Nang’s tourism ecosystem with high-end products, resorts, cuisine and culture is increasingly suitable for the needs of tourists from the Middle East. However, to develop this market sustainably, the city needs to continue to improve its chain of products and more specialized services.
Mr. Dung assessed that this is also an opportunity for the city to target high and very high income customer segments, while connecting international tourists to the Central region more easily.
