Da Nang equips its management staff with knowledge of AI, Blockchain, and Fintech.

The Da Nang Department of Information and Communications announced that on August 5th, it will collaborate with the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Studies in Mathematics (VIASM) to organize a free training course on the topic "Educational Knowledge for Managers and Policy Makers".

This activity aims to implement the cooperation agreement signed between the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications and the Institute for Advanced Studies in Mathematics, and also contributes to the implementation of the digital transformation project in the city by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

The training course is open to management staff from departments and agencies, policymakers, undergraduate and postgraduate students, lecturers, young researchers, and interested individuals with backgrounds in business, finance, management, economics , and related fields such as mathematics and computer science.

Taught by three experts from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Mathematics, within the framework of the training course "General Knowledge for Managers and Policymakers," in addition to gaining a general understanding of AI (artificial intelligence), Blockchain, and Fintech (financial technology), emphasizing the impact on the economy, society, management, planning, and human resource development, participants also heard presentations and discussions from experts applying these new technologies in Vietnam.

According to the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, Resolution 05 of the City Party Committee has identified a key task as developing platforms to support digital transformation, prioritizing research into core technologies that can leapfrog ahead and have the potential for strong breakthroughs, such as AI and Blockchain, to create new business models, products, and services with high value.

To implement new technologies such as AI, Blockchain, and Fintech in digital transformation and smart city development, raising awareness is especially important.

The training course on the topic "General Knowledge for Managers and Policymakers" organized by the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications and the Institute for Advanced Studies in Mathematics also aims to raise digital awareness among management staff and the community.

According to a report by the Ministry of Information and Communications , the standing agency of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, in addition to outstanding results in organizing the development of digital human resources, Da Nang city was also highly praised for building digital awareness in the first six months of 2023.

The experience that helped this locality create a fundamental shift in digital awareness is the application of the "3 Needs" action motto, which first requires the exemplary conduct and involvement of the entire political system, the highest determination of the Party committees and heads of agencies, and the pioneering role of each official, civil servant, employee, youth union member, and community digital technology team.

At the same time, it is necessary to develop a comprehensive communication strategy and plan on digital transformation to ensure consistent and continuous implementation throughout the city; and the communication content must be accessible, concise, relatable, easy to understand, with a clear theme and focus, diverse and multi-channel communication formats, with an emphasis on digital communication channels and vivid visual communication models.
