After being restored and completed in December 2022, the two towers, the North Tower and the Middle Tower, belonging to the Khuong My Cham tower complex in Tam Xuan commune, Da Nang city, have seriously deteriorated.
Local public opinion is concerned about the effectiveness of the conservation project for these two towers, while the authorities and the unit managing the Khuong My tower complex want a conclusion on the cause of the newly restored towers' deterioration in order to develop better conservation plans.
The North Tower and the Middle Tower are two of the three towers (North Tower, Middle Tower, and South Tower) of the Khuong My tower complex in Tam Xuan commune, Da Nang city, which was classified as a National Historical Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 1989.
The North Tower and the Middle Tower were restored in 2019, with a total cost of 12.6 billion VND, and completed at the end of 2022. However, just two years after the restoration, the North Tower and the Middle Tower have seriously deteriorated.
