– On the morning of February 18 (January 9, Giap Thin year), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Lang Son province held the opening ceremony of the traditional festival of Tan Thanh Pagoda, Van Lang district. Attending were comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of departments, branches, sectors, unions, armed forces of the province; leaders of the People's Committees of districts and cities and a large number of people in the area.

Tan Thanh Pagoda is located at Tan Thanh border gate, Van Lang district, the project was built in 2015 with an area of ​​21 hectares. The pagoda consists of 3 areas: the main shrine (Tam Bao palace), the shrine of Duc Thanh Tran, the shrine of Duc Thanh Mau and the Tam Quan gate. This is not only a place to worship Buddha but also has the meaning of a cultural and spiritual milestone of the Vietnamese people with many unique features. The pagoda has pure Vietnamese architecture, imbued with the cultural identity of the North.

During the festival program, the Organizing Committee opened and beat the drum to open the traditional festival of Tan Thanh Pagoda, along with special welcoming performances, lion dances, and unicorn dances. At the festival, there were also folk games such as: pushing sticks, weeding, jumping sacks... attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over the country to participate. According to the Organizing Committee, the traditional festival of Tan Thanh Pagoda attracted nearly 10,000 visitors to attend the festival and go to the pagoda at the beginning of the year to pray for luck and peace.
