According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Environment, the land plots belonging to the Can Gio coastal urban area project have just been approved with a total land price of over 27,317 billion VND.

Last April, the Vinhomes Green Paradise coastal tourism urban area project in Can Gio was officially launched by the investor at the estuary of Long Hoa commune and Can Thanh town (formerly Can Gio district), covering a total area of ​​2,870 hectares.

This is a leading project in Vietnam and globally, featuring the largest theater complex in Southeast Asia; the world's largest artificial lake; two world-class golf courses; a 108-story multi-purpose tower; a chain of modern hotels and shopping malls; a large-scale entertainment complex; an international standard education system, and notably, the presence of the American healthcare system - Cleveland Clinic…

Thus, with the addition of the Can Gio reclaimed land urban area project, which generated over 27,317 billion VND, the total budget revenue in the (old) city area to date has exceeded 65,319 billion VND, including land use fees, land lease fees, water surface lease fees, and revenue from real estate transfers. Of this, only 12,720 billion VND was collected in the first six months of the year, while the two projects recently approved – Lotte Eco Smart City (16,190 billion VND) and the Can Gio reclaimed land urban area (over 43,500 billion VND) – contributed the remaining revenue.

In 2025, the target for revenue collection from land reached 90.72% of the total 72,000 billion VND for the year. The Department of Agriculture and Environment was assigned to oversee the disbursement of public investment capital for 104 projects, with a total disbursed capital of over 23,846 billion VND. As of June 30th, over 19,439 billion VND had been disbursed, reaching 81.52%, raising the overall public investment disbursement rate of the entire city to 37.1%.

In the first six months of the year, the department issued 214 initial certificates, bringing the total number of certificates issued to individuals to 1,586,927, reaching a rate of 99.68%, while the number for organizations reached 1,516,646, reaching a rate of 92.53%. The 5013 Task Force on certificate issuance held meetings to review and resolve difficulties and obstacles for 142 projects, of which 97 projects were completely resolved.
