Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the benchmark score, the highest is 29.39 points

On the afternoon of August 22, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the admission scores for 65 university training programs in 2025. Accordingly, the admission scores range from 19.00 to 29.39 based on high school graduation exam scores, of which the Advanced Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT-E10) has the highest admission score of 29.39 points based on high school graduation exam scores.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duy Hai, Head of the Admissions and Career Guidance Department, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, as of 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, the virtual filtering work of the Northern admission group chaired by Hanoi University of Science and Technology has completed its tasks according to the general process. Although this year there are many new points in the admission work, leading to the emergence of many calculation techniques and data that need to be processed on the system compared to 2024, the virtual filtering results have been performed synchronously, accurately and handed over to the schools in the group within the time limit prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training .

Hanoi University of Science and Technology has handed over virtual filtering results to 64 higher education institutions so that the schools can announce the standard scores for university admission in 2025.

The admission scores for training programs at Hanoi University of Science and Technology are quite close to the level predicted by the school, especially for the lower-ranked majors. For the upper-ranked majors, the admission scores are about 1 point higher than predicted.

The Advanced Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT-E10) has the highest benchmark score of 29.39 points according to the high school graduation exam score, equivalent to the Talent Selection Score (XTTN) of 1.2 is 93.18; the XTTN score of 1.3 is 95.64 and the TSA score is 86.97. Next is the Computer Science Program (IT1) with a benchmark score of 29.19 points. The "hot" majors all have very high benchmark scores such as: Control Engineering - Automation Program (EE2) with a benchmark score of 28.48 points; Microelectronics Engineering and Nanotechnology Program (MS2) with a benchmark score of 28.25 points; Electronics - Telecommunications Engineering Program (ET1) with a benchmark score of 28.07 points.

The program with the lowest benchmark score this year is TROY-BA with a score of 19.00 points according to the high school graduation exam score.

Based on the general guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training and the 2025 high school graduation exam score distribution, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has announced the score difference between admission groups using high school graduation exam scores as follows:

Accordingly, for the combinations used for admission to the technical group including A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29 and K01, there will be no score deviation. The combinations used for admission to the economic, education and foreign language groups including D01 and D04 also have no score deviation. The score deviation between the combinations for admission to the technical group (A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29 and K01) and the combinations used for admission to the economic, education and foreign language groups (D01 and D04) is +0.5 points to the standard score when considering the same training program for the combinations A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29 and K01.

Illustrative example: The FL3-Chinese Science and Technology program is recruiting with 3 high school graduation score combinations: K01, D01 and D04. The admission score according to combination D01 is 24.86 points, the admission score according to combination D04 is still 24.86 points, and the admission score according to combination K01 will be 25.36 points.

Or the EM3-Business Administration program is recruiting with 4 high school graduation score combinations: K01, A00, A01 and D01. The admission score according to combination D01 is 24.30 points, then the admission score according to combinations K01, A00 and A01 will be 24.80 points.

In the 2025-2026 school year, tuition fees for standard programs at Hanoi University of Science and Technology range from 14-17.5 million VND/semester. For Elitech programs, tuition fees range from 17.5-22.5 million VND/semester. Dual degree and international cooperation programs range from 25.5-30 million VND/semester. In particular, the two programs Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT-E10) and Logistics and Supply Chain Management (EM-E14) maintain stable tuition fees from 32-33.5 million VND/semester.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology has many sources of scholarships for students. In the 2025-2026 school year, the school continues to set aside more than 70 billion VND for the Learning Encouragement Scholarship Fund (KKHT) for students with good academic and training results. Particularly for students with difficult circumstances, they have many opportunities to access valuable scholarship sources: KKHT Scholarship, Tran Dai Nghia Scholarship, and corporate scholarships.

The benchmark is determined based on the review score (DX) as follows:

a) Admission score based on the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam with a subject group without a major subject, 30-point scale:

DX = [(Subject 1 + Subject 2 + Subject 3)] + Priority points 1

b) Admission score based on the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam with a subject group including a main subject, 30-point scale:

DX = [(Subject 1 + Subject 2 + Subject 3 + Main subject) x 3/4 ] + Priority points 1

c) Admission score based on the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam with group K01, 30-point scale:

Score = [(Math x 3 + Literature x 1 + Physics/Chemistry/Biology/IT x 2) x 1/2 ] + Priority points 1

d) Admission score based on the results of the Thinking Assessment Test (ATT) in 2024 or 2025, combination K00, scale of 100:

DX = Exam score 2 + Priority points 3 + Bonus points 4

e) Admission score according to XTTN method 1.2 (International Certificate) and 1.3 (Capacity profile combined with interview), 100-point scale:

DX = XTTN Points + Priority Points3

The score is rounded to 2 decimal places after the decimal point.

1) Priority points for subjects and regions according to the Regulations on university and college admissions for Preschool Education (Issued together with Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BGDDT dated June 6, 2022 of the Minister of Education and Training and Circular No. 06/2025/TT-BGDDT dated March 19, 2025 of the Minister of Education and Training on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulations on university and college admissions for Preschool Education).

(2) The GDT exam score is the highest score in the GDT exams in 2024 and 2025.

(3) Priority points for subjects and regions are converted to a 100-point scale.

(4) Bonus points for candidates with IELTS (academic) certificate or equivalent, according to the University Admission Regulations of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Issued with Decision No. 5919/QD-DHBK dated June 10, 2025 of the Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
