What is a part-time university program?
In-service training is a familiar term for those who are already working but wish to continue their education to improve their skills. Accordingly, in-service training is a program designed for people who are working while studying, aiming to supplement their knowledge, improve their skills, and enhance their professional expertise.
Those pursuing part-time studies often aspire to advance to higher positions, or seek better jobs, positions different from their current field of study.
The term "in-service training" originally stemmed from a policy aimed at facilitating the continuation of studies for soldiers and officers who had to temporarily suspend their education due to participating in the resistance war. Later, the term "in-service training" was gradually replaced by "work-study" training. Thus, in-service training is essentially a work-study program.
A part-time university degree is equivalent in value to a full-time university degree because the part-time program has the same curriculum. Currently, part-time degrees are increasingly valued and accepted in agencies and businesses just like regular university graduates.
