In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, before the spirits of the forefathers, General Phan Van Giang and the delegation expressed their boundless gratitude and profound appreciation for the immense contributions of their comrades to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, and to the building of the Vietnam People's Army.
The immense contributions and merits of former leaders of the Party, State, and Army have contributed to the heroic and indomitable victories, which are the pride of the Vietnamese nation, and serve as a model for present and future generations to learn from and emulate.
General Phan Van Giang cordially inquired about the health and well-being of the family members of former leaders of the Party, State, and Army; and expressed his wish that the family members of these comrades maintain good health, continue to uphold family traditions, and contribute to the development of the country and the strengthening of the Army.

Earlier that morning, General Phan Van Giang visited and extended his best wishes to General Ngo Xuan Lich, former member of the Politburo, former Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, former Minister of National Defense, and Lieutenant General Dang Quan Thuy, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former member of the Central Committee of the Party, and former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
General Phan Van Giang reported to General Ngo Xuan Lich and Lieutenant General Dang Quan Thuy on the outstanding results of the military and national defense tasks of the entire army in the past period and the important tasks that the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense are focusing on implementing, especially regarding the policy of making the army lean, efficient, and strong, and reorganizing the army (including the organization of military agencies at the district level) in accordance with the Politburo's policy and direction; he also reported on the outstanding activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.
On this occasion, General Phan Van Giang wished General Ngo Xuan Lich and Lieutenant General Dang Quan Thuy continued good health and encouraged them to continue to pay attention to, monitor, and contribute valuable and heartfelt opinions to building a stronger Vietnam People's Army, successfully fulfilling the tasks entrusted by the Party, State, and people.

During his visit to present gifts and congratulations to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, General Phan Van Giang expressed his gratitude to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association and its branches at all levels for their continuous support and close cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense and other agencies and units throughout the army in organizing activities effectively. He particularly noted their valuable contributions to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, which have advised the Party and State on military and defense policies in building the Army and strengthening national defense and protecting the Fatherland.
General Phan Van Giang extended his best wishes for health and happiness to the leaders, members of the Vietnam Veterans Association, and their families. He expressed his hope that the veterans would always uphold and promote the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and continue to contribute alongside the entire Party, people, and army to successfully fulfill the task of building and firmly defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.
