On October 1, Nam Tay Nguyen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. held a conference to summarize 7 years of implementing the agroforestry project according to Decree 168 of the Government .
After 7 years of implementation, the company has implemented 14 afforestation and agricultural and forestry production development projects with a total budget of 7.2 billion VND. The main crops in the project include rubber, cashew and fruit trees, with a total area of 708 hectares.
The project applies the form of forest land allocation and links with 280 households and a local organization to manage, protect and develop forests, including many M'nong ethnic households.
Households participating in the project are allocated land for cultivation and benefit from planting, caring for and harvesting long-term industrial crops, contributing to increased income. The project has also helped stabilize security and order, creating conditions for people to develop a sustainable economy .
Despite achieving positive results, Nam Tay Nguyen Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. requested local authorities to continue promoting propaganda work to attract more people to participate, in order to maintain and promote the effectiveness of the project.
At the conference, the contracted households gave many opinions about supporting farming techniques, providing fertilizers and seedlings... to improve the efficiency of agroforestry projects.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Anh, Vice Chairman of Tuy Duc District People's Committee, highly appreciated the results achieved by agroforestry projects with local people.
These projects not only generate income for local people but also actively contribute to local forest management, protection and development.
