Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, presented symbolic keys and gifts to 20 households in Gia Lai and Quang Ngai.
In Gia Lai province, the Ministry of Public Security has just coordinated with Gia Lai Provincial Police to organize a conference to summarize the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the Central Highlands including three provinces: Gia Lai , Quang Ngai and Lam Dong. This is a program responding to the Prime Minister's call to join hands to care for housing for the poor nationwide.
According to Major General Le Quang Nhan, Director of Gia Lai Provincial Police, the Ministry of Public Security has allocated a total budget of VND355 billion to the three localities mentioned above to build, renovate and repair 6,370 houses for poor and near-poor households—especially in ethnic minority areas with many difficulties. The goal is not only to provide shelter, but also to contribute to improving the material and spiritual life of the people, helping them stabilize their lives in the long term.
The local police force has played a core role, not only advising and coordinating implementation but also directly mobilizing resources, contributing working days, eating, living and working with the people to ensure that each house is completed on schedule and meets quality standards.
The program completed all the work and finished one month ahead of schedule, demonstrating the great efforts of the police force as well as the spirit of solidarity between the local government and people.
Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, congratulated the households that had received housing support, and hoped that with new, solid housing, people would feel secure in working and producing, and actively participate in protecting local security and order. Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung emphasized that each house is a nucleus in a solid people's security posture, contributing to the effective implementation of the Party and State's socio-economic development policies and strategies.
The Deputy Minister of Public Security said that in 2025, in response to the emulation movement "joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide", the Ministry of Public Security mobilized all forces to donate 362 billion VND and mobilized 373 billion VND of socialized resources to support the elimination of more than 10,000 temporary and dilapidated houses in many localities. Of which, the funding to support the Central Highlands people accounted for 47% of the total funding mobilized by the Ministry of Public Security nationwide in 2025.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung presented symbolic keys and gifts to 20 households receiving housing support in Gia Lai and Quang Ngai provinces; awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in helping people eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses...
