The Cao Phong Orange Festival will be held in conjunction with the Exhibition Fair introducing typical products of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2025. The Cao Phong Orange Festival has become a tradition, but 2025 marks a turning point when Cao Phong commune coordinates to co-organize. Mr. Pham Van Thuy - Vice Chairman of Cao Phong Commune People's Committee shared: The commune's hosting of this Orange Festival is an honor but also a heavy responsibility. Cao Phong commune closely coordinates with all levels and sectors, especially the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, to organize a festival that not only maintains tradition but also has many innovations and creativity. The focus is to continue raising awareness of the whole society about protecting and developing the Cao Phong orange brand.

This year's event is organized in conjunction with the Exhibition Fair to introduce typical products of ethnic minority and mountainous areas with the aim of creating a large-scale economic and cultural exchange space. This is an opportunity for the commune to promote trade, meet partners, exchange experiences, transfer agricultural technology and most importantly, stimulate consumption, affirm the value and position of Cao Phong oranges in the market. The highlight of the Festival and Fair in 2025 is the theme "Green, sustainable agriculture and digital technology application". This theme not only catches up with global trends but also accurately reflects the reality and aspirations of the Cao Phong orange region.

Cao Phong Commune is reviewing the plan to organize festivals and fairs. According to the plan, the Festival is expected to take place for 7 days (from December 12 to 18, 2025) at the Square and Cultural House of Cao Phong Commune, with about 120 booths. The "Heart" area has 20 booths, a space dedicated to Cao Phong oranges. Visitors will be able to directly taste fresh oranges, orange juice and orange-based products. This is the display area of ​​5 hamlet clusters (representing communes before the merger), cooperatives and enterprises; introducing from seedlings, high-tech agricultural materials to OCOP and VietGAP products. The organizing committee will score the booths.

The “Ecosystem” area has 100 general trade, culinary and handicraft booths that will bring a colorful picture. From traditional craft villages, travel companies to famous specialties such as Lao Cai thang co, Hoa Binh grilled fish, steamed vegetables, roasted pork... all converge, turning Cao Phong into a meeting place for cultural and culinary exchange.

The organizers have built a series of rich activities, harmoniously combining commerce, culture, sports and experiential tourism. The Orange Festival (taking place in the first 3 days, December 12-14). Specifically, the Muong cultural space will be vividly recreated through gong cultural performances with the participation of 300 gong players and folk games. The "Street Festival" with the participation of the Sun Group Dance Troupe promises to bring a jubilant, modern atmosphere. The "Cao Phong trail" race (conquering Mung peak) is organized not only to encourage the sports movement but also to promote the majestic natural landscape of Cao Phong.

In addition, volleyball and tug-of-war tournaments between hamlets will stir up the community spirit. The Organizing Committee directs the preparation of sightseeing and practical experiences; organizes “orange picking” experience tours at model cooperatives such as 3T Farm, Ha An Farm Kindergaten, Vita Garden.... Tourists can also visit spiritual and cultural tourist attractions such as Bong Lai Temple, Vietnam Scientists Heritage Park.

Cao Phong Commune is closely coordinating with the Department of Industry and Trade to implement the plan to organize the festival in November. The Organizing Committee and supporting subcommittees have been established with a clear division of tasks, demonstrating the smooth coordination between state management agencies and local authorities. In particular, the Department of Industry and Trade plays the role of directing the fair's expertise, appraisal and is the focal point for inviting businesses from other provinces, ensuring funding from the national target program. Cao Phong Commune People's Committee is fully responsible for the Orange Festival, from handing over the site, ensuring electricity and water, to propaganda work, mobilizing local people and businesses to participate. The relevant departments, functional offices and units have been assigned specific tasks to implement the plan, ensuring that all detailed scenarios must be completed before November 14 for synthesis. In December, the overall staging and decoration will be completed and the Festival will officially open. During the preparation process, continuously review and perfect the plan to direct for maximum effectiveness.

In recent years, Cao Phong orange output has been about 20,000 tons. Cao Phong farmers are changing their mindset, strictly implementing safe production processes to maintain their brand. Households have seriously implemented VietGAP processes, prioritizing integrated pest management (IPM) and using microbial pesticides. As a result, the quality of oranges is increasingly superior, and the selling price is stable at a high level (Duong Canh oranges 60,000-70,000 VND/kg, yellow-heart oranges 25,000-30,000 VND/kg). Consumers are also protected by electronic traceability stamps, ensuring they buy the right products with geographical indications.

With unified direction and careful and elaborate preparation, the Cao Phong Orange Festival 2025 is an event to promote agricultural products, the pride and aspirations of the "Cao Phong Orange" brand, promising to bring visitors memorable experiences.
