Chelsea reach agreement to buy Jorrel Hato
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign centre-back Jorrel Hato from Ajax for a fee of 42 million euros ($45.8 million), excluding add-ons. Previously, the 19-year-old Dutch player had also agreed personal terms with the London team. To avoid the risk of injury before his departure, Hato proactively asked Ajax to remove him from the most recent friendly match against Como.
Despite being only 1.82m tall, Hato is a modern-day centre-back with outstanding passing ability, tenacity and composure. In the 2023/24 season in the Dutch National Championship, Hato had the third most accurate passes in the league and had the highest pass completion rate.
At just 17 years and eight months, Hato became the youngest player to captain Ajax. A week later, he replaced Virgil van Dijk in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Gibraltar, becoming the second-youngest player to represent the Netherlands since 1931.
Man United prioritize recruiting Benjamin Sesko
According to the Telegraph, Man United are actively looking for a new striker to refresh their attack. In the list of three candidates including Benjamin Sesko, Ollie Watkins and Nicolas Jackson, Sesko is the name that the "Red Devils" rate the most.
Sesko has been on the radar of scouting director Christopher Vivell since he was 16, while playing for Red Bull Salzburg. Now, Man United have all the data and believe that the Slovenian striker will be an ideal piece in the squad with new recruits such as Matheus Cunha or Bryan Mbeumo.
The biggest hurdle is the price tag. RB Leipzig will only let the 22-year-old leave if they receive €81 million ($88.3 million). Sesko is currently one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, so Leipzig is reluctant to budge.
Arsenal want Eze, but have to sell
According to Sky Sports, Arsenal still has Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace) in their sights. However, after spending more than 200 million euros ($218 million) on five new players this summer, the Gunners' transfer budget has become tight.
To get the English winger, Arsenal need to sell names that are no longer in coach Arteta's plans such as Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Albert Sambi-Lokonga, Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson.
Liverpool sell Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich for 75 million euros
Luis Diaz's move to Bayern Munich has been completed. The Bundesliga champions announced the signing of the Colombian for €75 million ($81.75 million), with the Colombian signing a four-year contract.
“Playing for Bayern is a dream for me. This is one of the biggest clubs in the world . I want to show my personality and contribute to the team's success,” Diaz said at the signing ceremony.
Diaz joined Liverpool from Porto in early 2022 for €43.5 million ($47.4 million), becoming the third most expensive sale in the history of the Merseyside club – behind only Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez. Liverpool earned a large sum to continue reinvestment, while Bayern acquired a dangerous striker.
Galatasaray has not given up on Ederson
Despite goalkeeper Ederson declaring that he would not leave Man City in the summer of 2025, Galatasaray continue to pursue the Brazilian star. According to Fanatik, the Turkish champions are preparing to submit an official offer to the Etihad Stadium.
The situation may become more feasible after Man City spent 36 million euros ($39.2 million) to bring James Trafford back. This shows that The Citizens have prepared an alternative plan if Ederson leaves.
Aston Villa inquire about young striker Samu Aghehowa
Daily Mail reported that Aston Villa had contacted Porto to buy striker Samu Aghehowa. However, the Portuguese team was adamant, demanding a transfer fee of up to 65 million euros ($70.85 million). Porto assessed the 21-year-old striker's talent as being no less than Viktor Gyokeres - who was recently recruited by Arsenal from Sporting for a similar fee.
Aghehowa scored 19 goals and provided three assists in the Portuguese league last season, while also scoring six goals in the Europa League, including a brace against Manchester United. He has also been called up to the Spanish national team twice and is considered a potential talent in Spanish football.
