According to Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, by the end of September, Dak Nong people had completed the 2024 durian harvest. This year, durian prices ranged from 60,000 - 90,000 VND/kg depending on the type.

In 2024, Dak Nong will have 11,654 hectares of durian, with an estimated output of 41,500 tons, an increase of 3,839 tons compared to 2023. Total income from durian is about 2,490 billion VND. This is the high income that this potential crop brings.
The good news is that many durian growing areas of households, businesses, cooperatives, and cooperative groups in the province are cultivated in a sustainable manner, meeting good agricultural production standards. Dak Nong has 36 durian growing area codes with 851 hectares, with an estimated output of 14,868 tons in 2024. The province has 10 packaging facility codes that meet the requirements for official export to major markets, mainly China.

The profit from durian trees is quite large, however, the Department of Agriculture recommends that people should not expand the area of this crop massively, on unsuitable land.
Farmers focus on applying scientific farming processes, improving the quality of durian products to meet the increasing demand of domestic consumers and exports.
