According to the British press, a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere is prevailing at MU after Michael Carrick was chosen to replace Ruben Amorim as interim manager until the end of the season.
The former England star returned to Old Trafford, got to work ahead of the crucial Manchester derby, and unexpectedly overcame the first challenge with a 2-0 victory for MU.

Last weekend, Manchester United, under Carrick's management, achieved an even more impressive result, coming from behind to beat league leaders Arsenal 3-2 away at the Emirates Stadium.
With these two spectacular victories, Carrick became the first Premier League manager in 16 years to lead his team to win against both the top two teams in the league table at the time of their encounter.
The Sun revealed that the Manchester United stars were thrilled, feeling that Carrick had brought new energy to training, and that this had significantly improved their morale and playing style, leading to victories against both Manchester City and Liverpool.
Sources close to the Manchester United dressing room say that Carrick has had the players conduct shorter, faster, and more intense training sessions, focusing more on speed and bringing enjoyment to the pitch.
This approach is considered very different from the style of Ruben Amorim, which is seen as lengthy, tedious, and mentally stressful.
One player described the Portuguese coach's training sessions as like "playing chess on the field ," implying that Amorim focused too much on detailed tactics without paying attention to physical fitness.
Under Carrick, MU's training sessions were reportedly more direct and lively, helping players regain their confidence and motivation.
The report also added that Carrick abandoned Amorim's 3-4-3 formation and reverted to a four-man defense, giving more freedom to players like Bruno Fernandes.
Forward Cunha and youngster Patrick Dorgu made a significant impact, with Carrick praising their spirit and desire to contribute even when not in the starting lineup.
Cunha said there was a “different energy” throughout the team and Carrick reminded the players of what it means to wear the Manchester United shirt.
