Son La College Party Committee focuses on developing party members

To improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, in recent years, the Party Committee of Son La College has focused on doing well the work of training and developing the Party; promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members in studying and working; paying attention to developing Party members who are students, acting as the core in the school's activities, contributing to building a clean and strong Party Committee.

The Party Committee has 10 affiliated Party cells with 241 Party members. Currently, the school has 5 PhDs, 182 Masters, and 13 lecturers who are Party members. Comrade Nguyen Van Minh, Party Committee Secretary and Vice Principal of the school, said: The Party Committee considers the work of developing Party members among cadres and lecturers as a key step to build a team of cadres with sufficient moral qualities and working capacity. At the same time, it regularly orients and creates an environment for students to practice and strive to be in the Party's ranks. From 2020 to now, the Party Committee has admitted 41 Party members, of which 18 are students.

The Party Committee always directs Party cells to regularly innovate the content and methods of political and ideological education; organize training programs to raise awareness of the Party for cadres, lecturers, employees and students; organize thematic activities on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Link the work of developing Party members with planning, training, fostering and appointing cadres; issue guidelines on standards and procedures for admitting new Party members, including specific standards for cadres, lecturers and students in the school.

The Party Committee sets out the criteria: For cadres and lecturers who have been ranked as advanced workers or higher for at least 3 consecutive years, of which at least 1 year has achieved achievements recognized by competent authorities, they will be recommended for recognition as Party subjects. For students, the school organizes the assessment and classification of "5 good" students for students who have a sense of moral cultivation, are pioneers in activities and movements, have good academic results for at least 2 semesters or more for 2nd year students and have been rewarded, 3 semesters or more for 3rd year students. On that basis, assign Party members to help students continue to promote their abilities and strive to join the Party.

Ms. Doan Thu Trang, Secretary of the School Youth Union, shared: The School Youth Union focuses on gathering and attracting members through the movements "Four companions with youth on the path to career and career establishment", "Youth Union members and youth strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam " and many activities of social significance, such as "Humanitarian blood donation", "Volunteer summer campaign", "Campaign to support exam season"... From those practical activities, many students have trained, strived and were honored to be admitted to the Party.

Student Giang Thi Trang, K58A, Faculty of Preschool College, shared: Right from the moment I entered the school, I tried my best to study well, participated in scientific research, actively participated in the Youth Union, Student Association movements and volunteer campaigns, and participated in social work. Before graduating, I was admitted to the Party. I am very honored, proud, and more confident in my future path.

Doing a good job in developing party members is one of the important tasks in building a clean and strong party organization. From there, we can select outstanding cadres, lecturers and students who actively contribute to the development of Son La College.
