On March 26th, the Vietnam Lottery Company (Vietlott) presented the Jackpot prize to Mr. VK, worth over 25 billion VND. Mr. VK is the owner of the Viettel mobile phone number that won the Jackpot.

Previously, after checking the lottery business data system and accompanying personal records, Vietlott confirmed that Mr. VK had won the Jackpot in the Mega 6/45 lottery draw number 1172, which took place on the evening of March 15th, with a prize value of 25,152,452,500 VND. The winning numbers were 09 - 11 - 16 - 29 - 31 - 33.

Mr. VK is originally from and resides in Son La . Mr. VK shared that he has been a regular player of Vietlott's self-selection lottery games for the past 5 years.

Every day, he buys 5 tickets for entertainment and to try his luck. Mr. VK has a habit of checking the results daily and choosing to buy tickets for numbers that haven't appeared yet for the next draw.

Mr. VK said that on that day, while cooking rice, as usual, he went to check the results and was flustered, not knowing what to do when he saw that his numbers had won the Jackpot.

When Mr. VK told his wife the news, she didn't believe him until he showed her the text message scheduling a visit to Vietlott's headquarters to complete the prize claim paperwork.

Mr. VK said that he would deposit the money in the bank and then plan his spending accordingly.

At the awards ceremony, Mr. VK donated 180 million VND to support social welfare programs in Son La province (building solidarity houses, giving gifts to the needy) and sent 200 million VND to a charity fund.

According to regulations, Mr. VK is obligated to pay personal income tax at the place where he registered to participate in the lottery, which is Son La, on a total value of over 2.5 billion VND (10% of the value exceeding 10 million VND), and this tax will be deducted immediately upon receiving the prize.
