Our Party - The people are the foundation, we sacrifice for their happiness.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, affirmed that the Party has ample experience, from leading the people to achieve independence and national reunification to governing and developing the country. Now, in order to ensure a happier life for the people, the Party continues to set itself more complex and challenging requirements and tasks.

Through the sharing of Associate Professor Dr. Le Hai Binh, it is clear that the Party is always with us, fighting for our happiness.

From being the decisive factor in the victory of the revolution to the cause of reform and now preparing to enter a new era, the era of the Vietnamese nation's resurgence, what, in your opinion, have been the outstanding characteristics of our Party over the past 95 years?

This is a big question. One of the most important lessons in the 95-year history of our Party is, first and foremost, the guiding principle: the people are the foundation.

Besides looking back at the history of the Vietnamese revolution, we also look at the world over the past century, observing the rise and fall of nations and even the collapse of regimes, and we see stories that are all connected to the people.

Therefore, for the past 95 years, our Party has thoroughly upheld the principle that all actions are aimed at serving the people, and all goals are set for the people. Even now, despite deeply recognizing the enormous challenges, in order to ensure the people's lives become increasingly happy and reach new levels of happiness in this new era of the nation, our Party still sets itself higher, more complex, and more challenging requirements, tasks, and goals. This is a sacrifice.

The second story, also stemming from that sacrifice, is the resilience of the Party.

I would like to say that, looking back now, why does our Party have such prestige on the international stage, especially within the international communist movement? The reason is that, if we look at it comprehensively, our Party has ample experience, from leading the people to achieve independence and national reunification, to governing and developing the country. It can be said that our Party possesses invaluable experience that our friends can learn from.

Thirdly, there is the Party's contribution to the international community. In the first era of independence, freedom, and national reunification, our Party was a source of inspiration, motivation, and the conscience of humanity.

In this era of innovation and development, our Party has become a source of inspiration, especially for countries that want to both achieve development and ensure the social welfare of their people. Very few countries can successfully achieve the Millennium Development Goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in such a short time.

I believe that as we continue to move forward into an era of progress, and are determined to achieve our strategic goals by 2045, the Party will once again become a source of inspiration for many nations, as well as other workers' and communist parties around the world.

There are certainly fourths, fifths, and more… Looking back over that nearly century, our feelings and beliefs about the Party become even clearer, don't they, sir?

Indeed, there is much more to be said, because the 95-year history of our Party is a shining record of achievements and results. Especially noteworthy is the story of the people, the resilience and fighting spirit of the Party, and the contributions of our Party. As General Secretary To Lam emphasized, we can be completely confident in contributing to international politics, the global economy, and human civilization.

It can be said that, on the eve of the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, looking back at the glorious journey of nearly a century, we continue to clearly feel the immense faith of the people, the enthusiasm and fervor of the entire country as we continue to follow the path that the Party has pointed out.

That is the path to entering an era of national resurgence, and also the path to socialism as President Ho Chi Minh and the Party's predecessors chose in the spring 95 years ago.

In 2025, Party Congresses at all levels will be held leading up to the 14th National Party Congress. How do you assess the importance of this Congress, as well as the key elements that need to be emphasized?

We already have Directive No. 35-CT/TW on Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party. With flexibility and responsiveness to practical needs, our Party has promptly made adjustments according to Directive No. 35-CT/TW so that all levels can implement it correctly and achieve results for the congresses at all levels.

In the process of organizing the congress, the first important issue is always the documents. This time, the draft documents were sent out early so that congresses at all levels could refer to them, demonstrating the democratic nature of our Party.

Notably, this time the document was directed by the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam. The document subcommittees developed very concise and brief drafts, with a high spirit of innovation, reflecting new ideas, content, and approaches.

As General Secretary To Lam emphasized, the 14th National Congress of the Party marks the beginning of a new era of national progress. Therefore, the documents of the 14th National Congress will be extremely important, historically significant, and require in-depth discussion by the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army.

Next, regarding personnel, the era of progress demands a cadre of officials capable of meeting the requirements and tasks of the new era. We clearly see that the Politburo and the Secretariat, under the leadership of General Secretary To Lam, have made significant, clear, and decisive decisions regarding the cadre, especially strategic-level officials. Congresses at all levels have thoroughly implemented this spirit to select officials with sufficient dedication, vision, talent, and virtue to serve the Party, the Fatherland, and the people.

These are arguably two fundamental issues. 2025, while marking the year of congresses at all levels, is also a crucial year in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, creating an important foundation for us to enter the years of development that follow.

Organizing congresses at all levels is crucial, but it is equally important to ensure the fulfillment of socio-economic development, national defense, security, and international integration tasks. 2025 is, on the one hand, a very important year with many major celebrations, and on the other hand, a truly important and pivotal year for the Party, the country, and our people to build a solid foundation for entering a new era of national progress.
