In Tan Hoa A hamlet, Tan Hiep commune, the people are very familiar with the sight of Party members rolling up their sleeves to clean roads, wade through rice fields, build bridges, mobilize support for the poor, and assist the elderly and lonely. Party members are close to the people, listen to them, and work alongside them. They take the lead, work diligently, and see things through to the end. It is this dedication that strengthens the Party branch, earns the people's trust, and creates a peaceful and harmonious village.

"Say it and do it immediately."

The Tan Hoa A hamlet Party branch has 23 members and holds regular monthly meetings. Each branch meeting not only discusses organizational matters but also provides an opportunity for members to exchange views on issues affecting people's lives, from environmental pollution and land disputes to building bridges, roads, and erecting flagpoles.

Once, during a meeting, a party member complained: "Mr. T.D.'s pigsty smells terrible; the whole neighborhood can't stand it..." That same day, Mr. Pham Minh Duc, the head of Tan Hoa A hamlet, along with other officials, went to Mr. T.D.'s house to help renovate the pigsty. Initially, Mr. T.D. was hesitant, but when he understood that the officials were there to help him, he enthusiastically cooperated. After a week, the pigsty was renovated, a biogas digester was installed, the smell was gone, and the neighbors stopped complaining.

Previously, the bridge over the Zero Canal near the hamlet's headquarters was severely dilapidated, making travel very difficult for residents, especially the elderly and children. Party Branch Secretary Trinh Thi Kim Hong shared: “Seeing that the Party members' suggestions were reasonable, the branch immediately implemented the project. Party members contributed their own money first, then went to each house to persuade the villagers.” This transparency and sincerity helped the people trust and contribute their labor and resources to repair the bridge. The project was completed to the joy of the entire hamlet.

The closeness and sincerity of the Party members have built strong trust with the people. When the Party branch launched the model of building roads and flagpoles according to proper standards, 100% of the households along the road voluntarily participated without needing multiple meetings. In the days that followed, Party members and residents worked together to erect the flagpoles, creating an atmosphere of unity. On holidays and festivals, the red flag with a yellow star flies brightly along the road, becoming a source of pride for the entire hamlet.

The Party cell of Tan Hoa A hamlet also demonstrates its role through humanitarian actions. When a lonely, sick person passed away, the Party cell raised 7.6 million VND and coordinated a thoughtful funeral. When a young girl was sexually abused, the hamlet's community mobilization team was immediately present to encourage and support the family in moving to a safer place. Party members here don't talk much; they choose to act to show the people the Party organization's unwavering support.

When party members are the "pioneers"

The story of change in Tan Hoa A begins in the rice fields, a place deeply connected to the lives of the farmers. Previously, the villagers cultivated old rice varieties with low yields and unstable prices. When the Party branch encouraged them to switch to high-quality rice varieties, the people hesitated. Fearing risks, they said, "We're used to growing it this way; if we switch and the crop fails, who will bear the consequences?"

To change the farming practices of the villagers in Tan Hoa A hamlet, the Party branch assigned Mr. Duc to be the pioneer in implementing the model. He started right on his own fields. He applied fertilizer correctly, sprayed pesticides at the right time, recorded the costs for each crop, summarized the results at the end of the season, and then disseminated the information to the villagers. “Seeing his success in the first crop, a few households followed suit. In the second crop, more people tried it. By the third crop, many switched to the new variety. The rice is clean, the yield is stable, and the selling price is higher. Traders even put down deposits right in the fields before harvest, making the villagers happy. In the 2025 winter-spring and summer-autumn rice crops, farmers sowed OM 18, Dai Thom 8, and VNR 98 rice varieties, achieving high yields.”

Besides the changes in the rice fields, the roads in the hamlet are also being improved thanks to the pioneering spirit of the Party members. The dilapidated, pothole-ridden roads were a nightmare for the villagers. At a Party branch meeting, a Party member proposed: "Party members should lead the way, then mobilize the people to do the same." On weekends, 5-6 Party members in the hamlet buy materials and patch potholes. Seeing Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Chuc (76 years old) – a respected Party member – patching the road with a hoe and shovel, many others followed suit. This rainy season, the road in front of Mr. Chuc's house is smoother, cars no longer splash water onto the sides, elderly people can walk safely during their morning exercise, and children no longer get muddy on their way to school. With the roads improved, the people's hearts are also strengthened and their trust in the community grows.

The strength of the Party branch lies not only in its resolutions but also in its concrete actions. From repairing bridges and building roads to erecting flagpoles and improving the environment, everything is thoroughly discussed within the Party branch and then publicly implemented. The people do not feel imposed upon but become the subjects in every decision.

In Tan Hoa A, there is something very valuable: the unity between the Party and the people, between Party members and the masses. It is this strong bond that creates the foundation for a strong Party branch and a developed hamlet.
