Party members close to the people, strong party cells

In Tan Hoa A hamlet, Tan Hiep commune, people are all too familiar with the image of party members rolling up their pants to clear roads, wade through fields, build bridges, mobilize to help the poor, and support the lonely. Party members are close to the people, listen and work with them. They do it first, do it for real and do it thoroughly. It is this dedication that helps the party cell to be strong, the people to trust, and the village to be peaceful.

"Say it and do it"

Tan Hoa A hamlet party cell has 23 party members, meeting regularly every month. Each party cell meeting not only discusses organizational matters but is also an opportunity for party members to discuss people's livelihood issues, from environmental pollution, land conflicts to bridge construction, road construction, flagpole erection, etc.

Once, in a meeting, a party member reported: “The pigsty of Mr. T.D. smells so bad, the whole neighborhood can’t stand it…” That very day, Mr. Pham Minh Duc - Head of Tan Hoa A hamlet and cadres went to Mr. T.D.’s house to help renovate the pigsty. At first, Mr. T.D. was hesitant, but when he understood that the cadres were there to help him, he enthusiastically cooperated. After a week, the pigsty was renovated, had a biogas tank, no more bad smell, and the neighbors no longer complained.

Previously, the bridge over the Zero Canal right at the hamlet headquarters was seriously degraded, making it difficult for people to travel, especially the elderly and children. Party cell secretary Trinh Thi Kim Hong shared: "Seeing that the party members' opinions were reasonable, the party cell immediately implemented the project. Party members contributed first, then went to each house to mobilize people." Transparency and sincerity helped people trust and contribute their efforts and money to repair the bridge. The project was completed to the joy of the whole village.

It is the closeness and sincerity of the party members that has created a strong trust with the people. When the party cell launched the model of building roads and flagpoles according to standards, 100% of the households on the road voluntarily participated, without many meetings. In the following days, party members and people together built flagpoles to create an atmosphere of solidarity. On holidays and Tet, the red flag with yellow star fluttered brightly along the road, becoming the pride of the whole hamlet.

The Tan Hoa A hamlet Party cell also plays a role through humanitarian actions. When a lonely patient passed away, the cell mobilized 7.6 million VND to coordinate a thoughtful funeral. When a girl was abused, the hamlet's civil affairs team was present immediately to encourage and support the family to move to a safer place. Party members here do not talk much, they choose to act so that people can see the solidarity of the party organization.

When party members are the "pioneers"

The story of change in Tan Hoa A started from the rice fields, which are closely connected to the farmers. Previously, people grew old rice varieties with low productivity and unstable prices. When the Party Committee encouraged people to switch to high-quality rice varieties, people hesitated. Afraid of risks, they said: "We are used to growing rice, if we change to another variety and it fails, who will take responsibility?"

To change the farming practices of the people in the hamlet, the Tan Hoa A hamlet Party cell assigned Mr. Duc to be the pioneer in implementing the model. He started right on his own field. Fertilizing with the right technique, spraying pesticides at the right time, recording the costs of each crop, summarizing the results at the end of the season and then propagating to the people. "Seeing how effective he was in the first crop, a few households followed suit. In the second crop, more people tried. By the third crop, many people switched to new varieties. The rice was clean, the yield was stable, the selling price was higher. Traders also deposited right in the field before harvesting, the people were excited. In the winter-spring and summer-autumn rice crops of 2025, farmers sowed OM 18, Dai Thom 8, VNR 98 rice varieties, with high yields.

In addition to the changes in the rice fields, the roads in the hamlet are also being improved thanks to the pioneering spirit of party members. The degraded roads and potholes are a nightmare for the people. In a party cell meeting, a party member proposed: "Party members do it first, then mobilize the people to do it together." On weekends, 5-6 party members in the hamlet buy materials and patch the potholes. Seeing Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Chuc (76 years old) - a prestigious party member holding a hoe and shovel to patch the road, many people also follow. This rainy season, the road in front of Mr. Chuc's house is flatter, vehicles no longer splash water on both sides of the road, old people doing morning exercises can walk with peace of mind, children going to school are no longer covered in mud. The roads have changed, the people's hearts are more attached and trusting.

The strength of the Party cell is not only in its resolutions but also in its concrete actions. From repairing bridges, building roads, erecting flagpoles to improving the environment, everything is carefully discussed within the Party cell and then publicly implemented. People do not feel pressured but become the subject of each decision.

In Tan Hoa A, there is a very precious thing which is the consensus between the Party and the people, between Party members and the masses. It is this strong bond that creates the foundation for the Party cell to be strong and the hamlet to develop.
