For English, candidates must have an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher or a TOEFL iBT score of 65 or higher. For French (Law), candidates must have a DELF certificate with a level B1 or higher or a TCF certificate with a score of 300 or higher/1 skill or higher. For Japanese (Law), candidates must have a JLPT certificate with a level N3 or higher. For candidates using the results of the US SAT exam, they must have a score of 1,150 or higher/1,600 points; or candidates must have an average total score of 6 high school semesters of 3 subjects in the group of subjects for the admission subject of 22.5 or higher.

Subject 3 is students studying at high schools on the priority admission list for 2024 of Ho Chi Minh City National University. Candidates have an average total score of 6 high school semesters of 3 subjects in the admission group of 24.5 or higher.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics reserves a maximum of 4,000 admission quotas for 2025 based on high school transcripts.
