Việt NamViệt Nam27/08/2024

Great potential

It can be said that over a period of 15 years (2009), the program has truly awakened regional tourism linkages. Many tourist destinations, areas, and products have been promoted, agreements have been signed, tourism routes and services have been formed, and the regional tourism development rate has increased by an average of 15% per year.

Tuyen Quang is one of the six provinces in the Viet Bac region with potential and advantages in tourism development. The resolutions of the Provincial Party Congresses in many past terms have identified that focusing on tourism development is one of the three breakthrough areas, building it into an important economic sector of the province. To build the tourism foundation as it is today, the province has implemented many synchronous solutions, including strengthening regional tourism development linkages.

Tuyen Quang province participated with 3 OCOP agricultural product booths at the OCOP Agricultural Product Festival and Culinary Culture of 6 Viet Bac provinces organized by Bac Kan province.

Reality has proven that no locality focuses on developing tourism but goes it alone. In terms of geographical location, Tuyen Quang is not far from Hanoi, about 140 km, the center of the old Viet Bac resistance base. From Tuyen Quang, it is convenient to go to the Northeast, Northwest or down to the Northern Delta. Tuyen Quang and some other provinces share the majestic Lo River flowing into the Red River. In terms of history and culture, Tuyen Quang is the revolutionary museum of the whole country with 660 historical, cultural and scenic relics, including 3 special National Monuments: Tan Trao (Son Duong), Kim Binh (Chiem Hoa) and Na Hang - Lam Binh Nature Reserve.

Comrade Le Thanh Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that from the similarities in nature, history and culture, the 6 provinces in the Viet Bac region have actively cooperated, linked and developed tourism to create the tourism journey "Through the Viet Bac heritage sites". Thereby, exploiting the value of natural landscapes and cultural heritage values of the provinces in the region to introduce to tourists from near and far. The program has had strong and substantial changes, gradually going into depth. The cooperation content includes building a policy mechanism for local tourism management and development; cooperation in developing tourism products; cooperation in promoting and promoting tourism; cooperation in developing local tourism human resources; cooperation in building transport and telecommunications infrastructure, linking regional tourism. The cooperation mechanism, the provinces take turns as the head of the cooperation group to host activities for a year.

“If you want to go far, go together”

The provinces of the Viet Bac region have agreed to deploy three strategic inter-regional tourism products including "Journey connecting UNESCO heritage of the Ha Giang - Cao Bang - Lang Son Karst Plateau Global Geopark", "The Legend of Gam River and the Viet Bac Revolutionary Heritage Road", "From Tan Trao Revolutionary Base to Vi Xuyen Border Front".

For neighboring provinces, Tuyen Quang also strengthens links and cooperation in tourism development. Together with Ha Giang, opening the "Legend of Gam River" tourist route, tourists from Bac Me district can take a boat down to Lam Binh and Na Hang ecological lakes and vice versa. Mr. Dang Van Khanh, a tourist from Hanoi, said that his group was very surprised when they could travel from Ben Thuy Ho of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Plant to Bac Me district, Ha Giang province and vice versa. On the way, the group was impressed by the primeval forests, high mountain peaks, floating clouds, interspersed with villages, aquaculture and fishing areas of ethnic minorities. A trip can help them understand the charming beauty of the two provinces.

The opening of a road connecting Ba Be district, Bac Kan and Na Hang is currently being implemented. In addition, routes to Thac Ba lake, Yen Bai; Hung Temple, Phu Tho have been formed. Tuyen Quang has also proactively maintained good relations with the two major tourist centers of the country, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Many conferences on communication, promotion, tourism promotion, exhibitions, exchanges and cooperation between the two sides have taken place in recent times. The province has also linked and cooperated with many large tourism enterprises and companies such as: Vietravel, Vietjet Air; VinGroup, Muong Thanh, Hanoitourist, Vietrantour, UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club, etc.

At the 15th "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Sites" Tourism Program in Bac Kan 2024, representatives of the 6 provinces agreed to strengthen the connection to develop regional tourism, creating more diverse, attractive and unique tourism products and services. At the same time, they signed an agreement with Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Magazine to promote communication work, so that people and domestic and foreign tourists know more about Viet Bac tourism. Typical examples include An Toan Khu Tourist Area - Dinh Hoa (Thai Nguyen); Ba Be Lake (Bac Kan); Pac Bo Relic Site (Cao Bang); Mau Son Tourist Area - Lang Son; Tan Trao Historical Relic Site (Tuyen Quang); Dong Van Stone Plateau (Ha Giang).
