"Peach, Pho and Piano" screened in HCMC: Theaters full, ticket booking website "crashed" due to overload

After more than 10 days of screening in Hanoi, on February 22, the film Dao, Pho and Piano was officially released in Ho Chi Minh City at two cinema complexes, Cinestar and Beta.

On February 22, Beta Tran Quang Khai Cinema - the venue that has the first screening of Dao, Pho and Piano in Ho Chi Minh City - has 3 screenings (the earliest is 3pm). However, this unit only applies the form of buying tickets at the counter, it is not possible to book tickets online.

According to Dan Tri reporters on the afternoon of February 22, many audiences came to this theater to line up to buy tickets to see the movie Dao, Pho and Piano, but had to change to another movie or leave because the screenings only had tickets with seats close to the screen, which was not convenient for watching the movie.

In addition, there are also a large number of audiences who agree to buy tickets for the February 23 screening and will return to watch the movie the next day.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporters, a staff member at the theater said that initially, the theater announced two screenings at 3 p.m. and 4:20 p.m., but due to the large number of ticket bookings, the theater added an additional screening at 11:35 p.m. However, by 2:30 p.m., all screenings were almost fully booked.

Similarly, tickets for the movie Dao, Pho and Piano at Cinestar cinema complex are also of interest to many audiences. Staff at Cinestar Quoc Thanh cinema shared with Dan Tri reporter that on February 22, the cinema had 4 screenings (the earliest was 6:10 p.m.), but all were sold out.

The theater staff also added that the unit had announced the showtimes for February 23, but due to the overload of audience visits to the ticket booking website, the website had problems and was being fixed.

At Cinestar Hai Ba Trung theater, the two screenings of Dao, Pho and Piano on February 22 are also almost sold out.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, audience member The Nhat (student) said that since the movie Dao, Pho and Piano was shown in Hanoi, he was very curious about the content and wanted to watch the movie.

"When I heard that the movie was being shown in Ho Chi Minh City, I was very excited. However, up to now, my friends and I still haven't been able to book tickets to see this movie. Because we're busy with school, we can't go to the theater to buy tickets, and the online ticket booking website is having problems," said The Nhat.

Peach, Pho and Piano is a State film included in the pilot release and dissemination plan for a number of films produced using the State budget issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The National Cinema Center is the first location in the country to screen this film.

According to data from Box Office Vietnam - an independent statistical unit, as of February 21, Dao, Pho and Piano recorded a revenue of 1 billion VND.
