Green Summer Imprint

In recent days, the green shirts of students from the University of Health Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) have created brilliant days with meaningful works and projects in Chau Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province in the Green Summer Campaign 2025 with the spirit of "coming to be loved by the people, staying with the people, making the people trust, leaving with the people remember".

During 15 days, soldiers of the Green Summer team of the University of Health Sciences coordinated with local youth union members to carry out a project "National Flag Road - Lighting up the Countryside" with a length of 1km, costing 40 million VND; patching and planting flowers on rural roads; clearing and cleaning the grounds of hamlet cultural houses; organizing a team to support digital transformation in administrative work.

In addition, the Green Summer team of the University of Health Sciences also presented 2 "Spaces for reading, interaction and Team activities" with 500 books; presented 2 computers for the IT room at the school locations; visited and presented 9 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy families; provided health consultation and presented 150 gifts to people, 3 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances with a cost of 50 million VND; cultural and artistic exchanges, etc.

Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union, Commander of the Green Summer Volunteer Campaign of the University of Health Sciences, Dinh Cong Dinh, said: “Before launching the campaign, the School Youth Union connected with Chau Thanh Commune Youth Union to deploy projects and tasks suitable for the locality. Each activity has clear preparation and assignment to bring the best results. We consider the campaign an opportunity to “test” our enthusiasm, accumulate knowledge and skills for ourselves.”

By participating in volunteering, students not only practice life skills, but also have the opportunity to explore themselves. Nguyen Ngoc Dien (student of class D2020, University of Health Sciences) confided: "Participating in Green Summer helps me experience reality and share some of the difficulties with the people. Each completed project is each time we understand the value of happiness when we contribute with all the enthusiasm, courage and dynamism of youth."

During their mission, the school's volunteers always received attention from Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union, local authorities and school leaders; and coordination in performing their tasks from local union members and youth.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Thanh Commune, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Chau Thanh Commune, Le Ngoc Minh Hung, said that although the Green Summer Campaign of the University of Health Sciences was not long, the volunteers left many good impressions on the people, especially the children. In the coming time, the Commune Youth Union hopes to welcome many Green Summer teams of schools to the locality to carry out many activities and tasks for the community./.
