The mark of the Green Summer campaign.

Over the past few days, the blue uniforms of students from the University of Health Sciences (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) have created a vibrant atmosphere through meaningful projects and activities in Chau Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province, as part of the 2025 Green Summer Campaign, embodying the spirit of "being loved by the people when we arrive, cherished by the people when we stay, trusted by the people when we work, and remembered by the people when we leave."

Over a period of 15 days, the volunteers of the Green Summer Campaign from the University of Health Sciences , in coordination with local youth union members, carried out a project titled "National Flag Road - Lighting Up the Countryside" with a length of 1km and a cost of 40 million VND; repaired and planted flowers along rural roads; cleared and cleaned the grounds of village cultural centers; and organized a team to support digital transformation in administrative work.

Volunteers from the Green Summer program of the University of Health Sciences, along with local residents, are upgrading rural roads.

In addition, the Summer Volunteer Team of the University of Health Sciences also donated 2 "Reading, Interaction and Team Activity Spaces" with 500 books; donated 2 computers to the computer rooms at various schools; visited and presented 9 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families of policy beneficiaries; provided health consultations and donated 150 gifts to the people, and 3 bicycles to disadvantaged students with a cost of 50 million VND; and participated in cultural and artistic exchanges, etc.

According to Dinh Cong Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the University's Youth Union and Commander of the Summer Green Volunteer Campaign at the University of Health Sciences: “Before launching the campaign, the University's Youth Union connected with the Chau Thanh Commune Youth Union to implement projects and tasks suitable for the local area. Each activity was carefully prepared and clearly assigned to ensure the best results. We consider the campaign an opportunity to test our enthusiasm and accumulate knowledge and skills.”

The volunteers of the Green Summer Campaign team from the University of Health Sciences participated in a football exchange with other units.

By participating in volunteer work, students not only hone their life skills but also have the opportunity to discover themselves. Nguyen Ngoc Dien (a student from class D2020, University of Health Sciences) shared: “Participating in the Green Summer program helped me gain practical experience and share some of the difficulties with the people. Each completed project made us understand the value of happiness when we could contribute with all our enthusiasm, courage, and the dynamism of youth.”

During their mission, the school's volunteer soldiers always received attention from the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union, local authorities, and school leaders; and the cooperation of local youth union members and young people.

According to Le Ngoc Minh Hung, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Thanh commune and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Chau Thanh commune, although the duration of the Green Summer Campaign of the University of Health Sciences was not long, the volunteer soldiers left many positive impressions on the people, especially the children. In the future, the commune's Youth Union hopes to welcome more Green Summer teams from other universities to the locality to participate in more community-oriented activities and projects.
