In the 2020 - 2025 term, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, with proactive and flexible adaptation, the Ha Tinh Health sector still created a strong transformation with many outstanding results, especially in developing professional techniques and improving the effectiveness of care and treatment.

The Radiation Therapy Center is a highlight in the development of specialized techniques of the Provincial General Hospital in the past term.

As the province's final medical facility, the Provincial General Hospital has focused on improving emergency and treatment capacity through investment, upgrading infrastructure, equipment and developing a team of highly qualified doctors.

One of the highlights is the construction and operation of the High-Tech Radiation Therapy Center. Accordingly, with the attention of the province's resources, by the end of 2024, the Provincial General Hospital officially operated the Radiation Therapy Center. The synchronous machinery system combined with the team of doctors and nurses who had been sent for intensive training in advance, when operating, the Radiation Therapy Center has closed the process of cancer diagnosis and treatment, thereby helping patients enjoy high-tech services right in the area.

Doctor Vo Van Phuong - Head of the Department of Oncology - Nuclear Medicine, Provincial General Hospital said: "Previously, when there was no Radiation Therapy Center, every year thousands of cancer patients had to be transferred to higher levels. This made it very difficult for patients. Now, when Ha Tinh can perform radiation therapy, it has created a turning point in cancer treatment, reducing difficulties for patients. With careful and thoughtful preparation in both facilities and human resources, since its inception until now, the center has brought about very high efficiency, most patients respond to the treatment regimen, with few side effects."

Provincial General Hospital masters the technique of removing blood clots using mechanical instruments for stroke patients.

The most recent technique that the Provincial General Hospital has mastered is the mechanical thrombectomy in stroke treatment. This technique extends the emergency intervention time to 6 hours, even up to 24 hours in some special cases; restores cerebral circulation, significantly reducing the rate of sequelae for patients. Since mastering the technique (August 2025), the Provincial General Hospital has successfully intervened for dozens of patients with severe strokes.

It is known that in the last term, the Provincial General Hospital had 15 doctors graduating with a specialist degree II, sent and attracted 73 doctors and pharmacists graduating with a doctorate, specialist degree I and master degree; received 250 technical transfer sessions from central hospitals and invited foreign experts to provide on-the-job training. Thanks to that, during the term, the Provincial General Hospital has built and developed key technical fields, including many advanced techniques such as: coronary and cerebral vascular intervention, radiotherapy with accelerators, hip and knee replacement, laser treatment for venous valve failure, etc.

At Ha Tinh Rehabilitation Hospital, in addition to the province's attention and investment in a very synchronous infrastructure system, the hospital has continuously diversified its treatment capacity through the development of specialized techniques in physical therapy, speech therapy, psychotherapy, etc.

In particular, the hospital is currently making efforts to routinely perform hip replacement. This is a specialized, complex technique for regional healthcare.
