Urgently deploy measures to respond to storm No. 10

On the evening of September 26, storm Bualoi moved into the East Sea and became storm No. 10, with the strongest wind near the center of the storm at level 11-12, gusting to level 15, moving very quickly at a speed of 30-35km/hour (1.5 times faster than previous storms). In the next 2 days, storm No. 10 will continue to strengthen to level 12-13, gusting to level 16, moving very quickly towards the sea and mainland of the North Central and North regions of our country, the closer it gets to the coast of our country, the stronger it gets. At 8am this morning, storm No. 10 was about 700km from Da Nang city.

In Quang Ninh, following the direction of the province, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police, and forces of Military Region III stationed in the area have mobilized human resources, vehicles, and equipment to be ready at locations according to the coordination plan. Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Head of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, emphasized: Storm No. 10 formed right after Storm No. 9, and it is forecasted that this will be a strong storm, moving very fast, sometimes reaching speeds of up to 40km/h. After passing through the Philippines, the storm did not weaken but increased in intensity and speed. Contrary to the rule of Storm No. 9, Storm No. 10 is heading straight towards our country and tends to move along the coast, with a forecasted very wide area of influence.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested: Localities must implement sea bans, control activities at sea, and guide ships that cannot reach shore in time to move out of the storm's affected area by 6 p.m. on September 27. Forecasting agencies continue to coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to closely monitor the storm's developments, determine the storm's landing time, affected areas, and storm circulation on land so that localities and people can proactively respond and protect people's lives and property.
