Chiesa will leave Liverpool this summer.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chiesa's priority is to return to Serie A, and Napoli have made contact with the Italian player. SportItalia further reports that coach Antonio Conte wants to add two wingers this summer, with Chiesa being the top target.

Chiesa only joined Liverpool from Juventus in the summer of 2024, and has only played a total of 104 minutes in the Premier League, most of which was due to injury. Meanwhile, Napoli are determined to upgrade their attack to go far in the Champions League, after signing Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer.

At 27, Chiesa was a mainstay for Juventus and the Italian national team, but his career has stalled due to a series of injuries. Leaving Liverpool to find regular playing time is necessary, especially with the 2026 World Cup approaching.

"My dream is to participate in the World Cup," Chiesa said. British media said the striker is considering offers from Serie A clubs to return to his homeland to play football, in order to revive his form and regain the trust of the Italian head coach.

Chiesa cost Liverpool £10 million. His contract runs until June 2028. He has only made 6 appearances in the 2024/25 Premier League, including 1 start in the domestic league.
