Apple is reportedly preparing to launch a new iPhone SE model, and there are now indications that the device's launch date is fast approaching.

In a recent Power On report, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg revealed that iPhone SE inventory at most Apple Stores in the US is "rapidly" running out. Gurman suggested this is a "reliable sign" that a new model is about to be launched.
However, users can still order the iPhone SE through Apple's online store.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone SE 4 will be released around the first quarter of 2025. This means the device could launch in March or April, similar to previous iPhone SE models.
New design and features
The new iPhone SE is rumored to have a similar design to the standard iPhone 14, with rumored features including: a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, a USB-C port, a single 48-megapixel rear camera, a newer A-series chip, 8GB of RAM with enhanced Apple Intelligence support, and the first Apple-designed 5G modem.
While the current iPhone SE model has a design similar to the iPhone 8 with outdated features such as the Touch ID button, Lightning port, and thick screen bezels.
Recently, some images of a mock-up of the iPhone SE 4 were leaked from source Sonny Dickson . The leaked images show the device with an aluminum frame, a glass back, and a single rear camera, similar to the style of the iPhone 14.
Furthermore, there are no details suggesting that the SE 4 will be equipped with an Action button or a Camera Control button (which appeared on the iPhone 16 models) as previously rumored.

Although it's commonly referred to as the iPhone SE 4, there have recently been rumors that Apple might name it the iPhone 16E.
The iPhone SE currently starts at $429, but the price of the new model is likely to increase slightly.
