A woman in Brazil has filed a complaint about being threatened by David Luiz, claiming the former Chelsea star once said he could kill her.

According to Globo Esporte , Brazilian authorities have received a complaint from the woman and are investigating. The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, told police that she was directly threatened by David Luiz.

ESPN added that Luiz's threat was recorded in the police investigation documents and was determined to have come from a personal phone call, causing the woman to feel scared and insecure. After conducting an assessment, the authorities confirmed the authenticity of the statement, opening an official investigation.

The incident occurred in the context of Luiz facing a private life scandal after Brazilian media released a series of text messages allegedly between him and a woman named Karol Cavalcante.

According to Cavalcante, she and Luiz met through social media, texted regularly, and met in Fortaleza. She claimed that the 38-year-old even offered to have “polygamy” with her friend, before revealing behaviors that made her feel insecure.
