The Ministry of Finance has transferred full funds to give gifts to the people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Based on Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP dated August 29, 2025 of the Government, the Ministry of Finance coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to issue a document guiding localities to implement gift giving to all citizens, and affirmed that it had transferred sufficient funds to implement on schedule, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945-2025), in addition to the policy give gifts to people with revolutionary contributions With the level of 500 thousand VND/person according to Decision No. 689/QD-CTN of the President , the Party and State have decided to give gifts to all citizens as a word of gratitude and to share the joy on this great holiday.

According to Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP, the recipients of the gifts include Vietnamese citizens and people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined but have been granted an identity card, reside in Vietnam and have a personal identification number in the National Population Database, as of August 30, 2025.

Each Citizens are given gifts worth 100,000 VND/person, in cash. Gift giving is done by household, the head of household or authorized person will receive and deliver to the members on behalf. In case there is no permanent residence registration, gifts will be given directly to each individual or legally authorized person.

People can receive gifts in two forms: Transfer via integrated social security account on VNeID electronic identification application. Receive cash directly at payment points organized by the locality, in case the social security account has not been integrated.

The People's Committee of the commune will decide on the gift-giving location in accordance with actual conditions, prioritizing a location convenient for citizens. Citizens will go to the gift-giving location organized by the People's Committee of the commune at their permanent residence, temporary residence, or current residence to receive the gift. When receiving the gift, citizens must present their citizen identification card or legal documents as prescribed by law. In case of receiving on behalf of a minor, a valid power of attorney or birth certificate is required.

The gift giving period starts from August 30, 2025 and is completed before September 2, 2025. In special cases, the gift giving can be delayed but not later than September 15, 2025.

The Ministry of Finance said that the funding source is arranged in the central budget expenditure estimate for 2025 and has been fully transferred to localities to implement the gift-giving policy in accordance with regulations.
