Informing about the good results of the working sessions and talks between the delegation of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba and the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam, Senior Lieutenant General Roberto Legrá Sotolongo said that the two sides shared, discussed and agreed on areas of cooperation. Thereby, continuing to deepen the tradition of special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba.
President Vo Van Thuong received Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Minister of the Cuban Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces Roberto Legra Sotolongo.
President Vo Van Thuong stressed that the people of Vietnam and Cuba have always been united, shared difficulties in revolutionary stages, cared for and encouraged each other to overcome challenges. The Party, State and people of Vietnam are happy that the special solidarity and cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba have developed substantially in many fields.
To further promote the achieved results, President Vo Van Thuong suggested that along with further strengthening high-level exchanges, the two sides should promote exchange and cooperation activities between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Cuban Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces; further promote economic , trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, thereby creating an important material and logistical foundation to serve the task of building and protecting the Fatherland of each country...
According to the President, the two countries' armies need to share experiences in labor and production to train and develop officers and soldiers. This is one of the key tasks that the Vietnam People's Army has carried out very well in recent times.
