Admission criteria and methods of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade 2025
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade will enroll 7,000 students, applying 5 admission methods:
Method 1: consider the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam
Rules
- Candidates applying for admission to the School must register their wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training 's Information Portal or through the National Public Service according to the general plan and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training to be entered into the inspection and processing system. Candidates choose the School's Admission Code as DCT.
- Input quality assurance threshold: announced according to the plan of the Ministryof Education and Training and after the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam of the Ministry of Education and Training are available.
Method 2: consider high school academic results (3 years of grades 10, 11 and 12)
Admission requirements
+ Admission based on high school academic results of grades 10, 11 and 12, the average of 3 subjects in the admission group corresponding to each major must be from 20 points or higher.
+ For the Law group, the minimum math admission score is 6.0 points and the minimum Literature admission score is 6.0 points or the minimum Literature score is 6.0 points.
This score is for candidates in region 3, the calculation of priority points for regions and subjects is according to current regulations.
Rules
Admission is based on high school academic results of grades 10, 11 and 12, the average of 3 subjects in the admission group corresponding to each admission major.
Method 3: consider the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam
Candidates are admitted based on the results of the 2025 National University of Ho Chi Minh City Competency Assessment Exam with the condition that the score of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City Competency Assessment Exam is the same.
From 600 points for all majors. For the Law group in particular: the threshold to ensure input quality has a total minimum score of 720 points, at the same time the minimum Vietnamese score is 180 points and the minimum Math score is 180 points.
This score is for candidates in region 3, the calculation of priority points for regions and subjects is according to current regulations.
Method 4: direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training
Object
Direct admission for candidates who meet the conditions prescribed in Article 8 of Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BGDDT dated June 6, 2022 and Circular No. 06/2025/TT-BGDDT dated March 19, 2025 amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulations on university and college admissions for Preschool Education.

Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Method 5: Admission based on the results of the 2025 specialized competency assessment test of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education combined with high school study results according to the subject groups corresponding to each major.
Admission requirements
Candidates are selected based on the results of the specialized competency assessment exam combined with high school academic results. There is no failing score in the specialized competency assessment exam.
- Average score of 3 years of subject 2 corresponding to the admission combination of each major is from 20 points or higher
- For the Law group, the minimum admission score for Math is 6.0 points and the minimum admission score for Literature is 6.0 points or the minimum admission score for Math is 6.0 or the minimum admission score for Literature is 6.0.
This score is for candidates in region 3, the calculation of priority points for regions and subjects is according to current regulations.
Rules
1) Admission principles
Candidates planning to apply for a major will register to take the corresponding specialized competency assessment test and combine it with the scores of the remaining two subjects in the high school study results according to the combination corresponding to the major.
- Input quality assurance threshold: candidates are admitted based on the results of the specialized competency assessment exam combined with high school academic results. The score of the specialized competency assessment exam has no failing score.
