Ca trù is a world cultural heritage with the largest area of influence in Vietnam, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent protection. Co Dam Ca trù, a unique cultural feature, embodies the profound artistic and spiritual values of Ha Tinh province.
More than ever, the people here are striving to preserve, promote, and develop Ca Tru (traditional Vietnamese singing) into a tourism "specialty," affirming the identity of their homeland while creating a unique attraction that draws visitors from near and far. In the ancient setting, the resonant rhythm of the clappers, the warm, deep sound of the zither, and the graceful voices of the female singers transport listeners back in time to traditional values. This is a unique experience that few other art forms can offer.

Meritorious Artist Nguyen Trong Tuan, who has conducted extensive research on ca tru (traditional Vietnamese singing), stated: "Ca tru is the most distinctive art form of Co Dam homeland. Restoring and preserving this unique characteristic serves both as a community activity and as a means of popularizing and performing for tourists. Integrating it into tourism is a very valuable endeavor, allowing people to see the essence and soul of the people of Ha Tinh, especially ca tru, a form of classical music ."
To make Ca Tru (traditional Vietnamese singing) a distinctive tourism product, in recent years, local Party committees, authorities, and the community have joined hands to restore and preserve the heritage. Ca Tru clubs and classes are regularly maintained, sparking interest in the younger generation. Integrating Ca Tru into cultural, culinary, and traditional craft exploration tours has created unique and novel tourism products, bearing the distinct mark of the Co Dam region.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien from Minh Hop commune, Nghe An province, shared her feelings about visiting Co Dam and listening to Ca Tru: "Experiencing the culture here, enjoying the Ca Tru melodies in such a setting, we felt completely captivated, as if we were returning to our roots. We really hope to have more opportunities to come here to listen to and appreciate Ca Tru even more."

For Ca Tru to become a tourism specialty, every citizen of Ha Tinh needs to participate in promoting it, working together to restore and teach this art form so that it can be preserved, spread, and live on through time. This way, the rhythm of Ca Tru will not only resonate in the memories of the local people but also serve as a bridge connecting tourists to Ha Tinh.
Mr. Trinh Quang Luat, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of the People's Committee of Co Dam commune, said: "Currently, Co Dam has connected and created a chain of tourism products. When tourists come to Co Dam, they will be able to listen to traditional folk singing, visit historical sites in the commune, enjoy coastal tourism, and experience agricultural tourism, with traditional folk singing being the highlight of the commune."

Integrating Ca Tru (traditional Vietnamese singing) with experiential tourism products, festivals, or cultural tours will open up new avenues, contributing to making Ca Tru a unique tourism "specialty," attracting more and more domestic and international tourists.
