After a period of intensive construction, the VinFast Ha Tinh electric motorcycle factory officially commenced operations in April 2026. The factory is part of a project invested by VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company with a total capital of over 13,250 billion VND, built on an area of over 64 hectares in the Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park (Vung Ang Economic Zone). According to the design, the factory has a maximum capacity of 2 million vehicles per year and is divided into two investment phases. Phase 1 (mid-2026) has a designed capacity of 1 million vehicles per year. With nearly 3,000 employees, the factory produces approximately 3,000 electric motorcycles daily across various product lines such as ZGOO, Feliz, Viper, Flazz, and Flazz Max. The production line utilizes advanced technology from Germany, Switzerland, and Japan, operating on an automated model with three main workshops: welding, painting, and assembly. In the welding workshop, industrial robots from ABB, Siemens, and others operate continuously to perform automatic and semi-automatic welding, creating electric motorcycle frames with high precision.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Head of the Welding Workshop's Technical Department at the VinFast Ha Tinh Electric Motorcycle Factory, stated: " After completing the frame, the product is transferred to technical stations where workers assemble components and assess quality before moving on to the next stage ."
In the paint shop, all frame details, plastic components, and accompanying parts are processed uniformly using modern spray painting technology.
Each product undergoes a rigorous inspection process to ensure quality and aesthetics before moving to the assembly line.
Workers in the workshop are painting and affixing chassis numbers to electric motorbikes. In the assembly workshop, workers enter the final stage of product completion. Components such as wheels, engines, electronic gauges, and many other technical details are assembled synchronously, ensuring technical standards are met. Mr. Nguyen Van Chung (residing in Cam Xuyen commune) shared: " As assembly line workers, we receive thorough training in professional skills and expertise, and always work with care and meticulousness to ensure the production line operates stably and efficiently. Working near home with attractive salaries and bonuses further motivates us to continuously learn, improve our skills, and stay with the company long-term ."
After the assembly process is complete, each vehicle must undergo rigorous testing of its electrical system, engine, and technical safety standards. Workers will directly test drive the vehicles to assess their performance, stability, and product quality before they are shipped out.
Besides serving the domestic market, electric motorcycles manufactured in Ha Tinh have been exported to Indonesia and the Philippines. Alongside its production activities, VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company is continuing to install additional machinery and equipment for phase 2 of the project. It is expected that by the fourth quarter of 2026, the factory will increase its capacity to 2 million vehicles per year, becoming one of the leading electric motorcycle production centers in the country.
Over the past period, the unit has coordinated with relevant departments, agencies, and localities to provide maximum support for the project's implementation, ensuring its progress. The factory's operation contributes to shaping the high-tech industry in Ha Tinh, creating jobs for local workers and making a positive contribution to the state budget. Possessing a modern automated production line with a capacity of 2 million vehicles per year, the project is expected to create a strong transformation for the province's industry, affirming Vietnam's aspiration to expand its electric vehicle market internationally.
