As summer begins, the atmosphere at many sports centers in Da Nang city becomes more vibrant than usual. From football fields and swimming pools to basketball and martial arts training facilities, there is a bustling atmosphere with students participating in training.

Observations at several sports centers show a significant increase in the number of students registering for summer courses this year compared to normal days, reflecting the growing interest of families in physical training for their children during the summer holidays.

At the An Khe Ward Cultural and Sports Center's swimming class, dozens of children attentively perform the movements under the guidance of the coach. With the summer break approaching, swimming classes are continuously being opened to meet the increasing demand from parents.

Taking his child to swimming lessons, Mr. Le Xuan Hoang shared: “Entering the summer vacation, I decided to enroll my child in additional skills training. The biggest goal is to stimulate my child's height development, improve their physique, and enhance their physical fitness. Besides that, I also want to create an environment where my child stays away from electronic devices to protect their eyesight and encourage them to focus on physical activity.”

Basketball is also a sport that attracts many young children to take up.

On the artificial turf of the GOAT Football Training Course in Hoa Cuong ward, the sound of the training whistle echoed continuously. The young players were drenched in sweat but still enthusiastically followed each exercise. Outside, many parents also attentively watched their children diligently practicing.

Nguyen Huu Khoi Nguyen excitedly said: "Learning football with my friends is so much fun! I get to freely pursue my passion for football and socialize and make many new friends."

According to Le Hong Anh, a representative from the GOAT Football Training Center: “Right from the beginning of summer, the number of students registering has increased quite significantly compared to previous years. This year, the number of new students has increased by about 30-40% compared to previous years, leading the center to open two additional training classes to meet the demand.”

Besides football and swimming, many other sports such as basketball, badminton, martial arts, and aerobics also attract a large number of parents registering their children, creating a vibrant and energetic summer sports scene.

In addition, many life skills education and community activities have been implemented by the Youth Union and Children's Union at all levels in the city, specifically: the "Summer Festival" program, "Police Semester", "Semester in the Army" program; the "Colors of Childhood - Welcoming Summer 2026" program, free swimming lessons... attracting many children to participate.

Early in the morning of June 2nd, the "Semester in the Army" program officially launched with over 170 young participants embarking on a more than 10-day experience in a military environment. Having been organized for nearly 20 years, the program has consistently received the attention, support, and trust of numerous parents thanks to its safe, disciplined, highly educational, and age-appropriate learning and living environment.

Ready to board the bus to the Military School of Military Region V with his "comrades" in Squad 4, Nguyen Ba Trong Phuc confided: "I'm both excited and nervous about living with my friends and being away from my family. My parents have given me a lot of advice over the past few days, and I will try my best to complete this training experience program."

In addition, the Da Nang Children's Palace has just opened more than 30 talent classes in the fields of art and physical education, contributing to diversifying summer activities for young people. Numerous competitions, festivals, exchange activities, and experiential learning opportunities create an environment for children to build confidence, develop their potential, creativity, and team spirit. Schools and summer clubs also implement many movements, creating beneficial activities for students during the summer break.

Providing suitable and engaging activities for young children also helps to limit their use of electronic devices. This demonstrates the joint efforts of families, schools, youth organizations, and local authorities in creating conditions for children to have a safe, healthy, and meaningful summer.
