According to UNESCO regulations, there is not much time left until the international report on Cham pottery art is submitted. Meanwhile, the key contents of the National Action Program for the Emergency Protection of Cham Pottery Art are all tasks that require thorough understanding and a long implementation period. Therefore, if we do not put all our efforts into a last-minute push, we will face significant risks when presenting the report to the international council. A report lacking factual figures or based only on newly implemented plans will directly affect the locality's reputation and the roadmap for removing Cham pottery from the list of urgently protected heritage. We have learned a successful lesson from Phu Tho Xoan singing – the first heritage in the world to be removed from the list thanks to decisive, substantive, and timely actions. Cham pottery can absolutely have a bright future if we all work together to preserve and promote this heritage. Perhaps, the authorities should play a coordinating role to realize the people's hope that, with the State's attention, Cham pottery will become the core of building a unique and famous cultural tourism destination on the province's tourism map; focusing on achieving quantitative targets, the number of young artisans trained, the number of households making a living from the craft, and the restoration of related cultural spaces. Preserving heritage is never the responsibility of an individual, and fulfilling commitments to the international community is the responsibility and honor of a locality. Hopefully, with the decisive efforts of the provincial Department of Culture, Cham pottery will soon be recognized as a representative cultural heritage of humanity, eliminating the current phrase "urgent protection".

Bau Truc village has 695 households with 3,432 inhabitants; the people mainly engage in agriculture, pottery making, and small-scale trading. In recent years, thanks to the attention of the Party and the State, the Bau Truc Cham pottery village has seen many positive developments in preserving and maintaining its heritage values, along with economic and tourism development that has increased the income of local people. Currently, the Bau Truc pottery village has 2 cooperatives, 2 companies, 29 pottery production and trading establishments, and more than 300 households engaged in processing and manufacturing.
Through training courses and the teaching of Cham pottery skills, the village has contributed to raising people's awareness in preserving and promoting the traditional craft passed down from their ancestors; constantly creating new, unique products with diverse and rich designs and beautiful patterns, especially restoring ancient patterns to meet customer needs. Each year, the Bau Truc pottery village produces and brings to the market more than 17,000 products of various types, creating jobs for more than 500 workers with an average income of 7 to 8 million VND/person/month, contributing to improving the living standards of local people, while preserving and promoting the value of the heritage.
Looking ahead, I hope that the local government and relevant departments in the province will continue to pay attention to and support the people in producing, promoting, introducing, and expanding the market for Cham pottery. Along with that, we hope to integrate the art of Cham pottery making with cultural and tourism activities to both showcase the unique features of this cultural heritage and provide people with more jobs and a livelihood from their traditional craft.
