Born and raised in a region with a long tradition of tea cultivation, Mr. Nguyen Huy Sang, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Nhon Trach commune, Dong Nai province, has always been concerned with preserving and restoring the brand of this local specialty.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Sang stated: Nhon Trach commune was established on July 1, 2025, based on the merger of Phu Hoi, Phu Thanh, Long Tan, Phuoc Thien communes and Hiep Phuoc town of the former Nhon Trach district. Phu Hoi commune, where he was born and raised, was famous for its tea cultivation.

Do what is good for the people.

As Chairman of the Farmers' Association of the commune, Mr. Sang established 7 cooperatives with 118 members and 3 professional associations (tea - pomelo - flowers) with 65 members. These groups and associations have clear regulations, specific task assignments, and create a professional production environment.

Mr. Sang also guided business households in building brands, designing labels, establishing traceability systems, and registering trademarks. As a result, the Phu Hoi Tea brand was granted exclusive protection by the Intellectual Property Office for 10 years (starting from the application date of February 22, 2019); and achieved OCOP 3-star certification with various product lines such as traditional tea, tea bags, and ginger tea.

While developing and building the Phu Hoi Tea brand, Mr. Sang also encouraged members to link production with experiential tourism to enhance the value of agricultural products. Through this model, people not only sell their products but also promote local cultural values, contributing to an income of 50-70 million VND per household per year, helping many escape poverty and achieve legitimate wealth.

With his dynamism, creativity, and willingness to think outside the box and act for the common good, in 2025, Mr. Nguyen Huy Sang will be the only representative from Dong Nai province to be honored as an exemplary figure in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh - Journey of Aspiration 2025 program, with the theme "Prosperous Vietnam".

Representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department informed that, following the merger of the former Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces, the new Dong Nai Provincial Party Standing Committee has directed the continued implementation of two thematic programs for 2025 on studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh, with the content: "Developing the economy while ensuring social security and improving people's lives" and "Promoting cultural values, spiritual strength, and arousing aspirations to build a prosperous, beautiful, civilized, and modern province."

From learning to action, the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings in Dong Nai has permeated all fields, creating many outstanding achievements. In 2025, Dong Nai's economy continued to grow, with GRDP reaching 9.63%. Budget revenue exceeded 100 trillion VND. Many key projects have been completed.

Worker support programs such as job creation, support for farmers in transitioning their livelihoods, and support for innovative startups are implemented comprehensively. The province pays special attention to social welfare in accordance with the spirit of "doing everything that benefits the people." Sustainable poverty reduction programs such as providing breeding cattle, health insurance cards, housing support, caring for war veterans, supporting vulnerable groups, and building social housing for workers are implemented comprehensively. Many schools and medical facilities have been newly invested in or upgraded; education and health services are more easily accessible, especially in remote areas.

To ensure that the people have increasingly happier lives.

In 2025, the entire province reviewed 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW to assess results, identify limitations, and propose solutions for the next phase. Through this review, many good models and innovative, people-oriented, and practical approaches were recognized. Some models were commended and awarded at the central level.

Notably, the "Meal of Love" model of Phu Rieng Kindergarten has been recognized as a model of learning and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh in the Southern region in 2025.

Stemming from the reality that many parents face difficult circumstances, especially migrant workers with unstable jobs, since the 2019-2020 school year, Phu Rieng Kindergarten has implemented the "Meal of Love" voucher model with the hope that no child will have to miss school due to a lack of school meals. These meal vouchers have helped hundreds of children attend school regularly every day, ensuring that no child has to drop out simply because of a lack of food.

Also at the 2025 ceremony honoring outstanding individuals in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh in the Southern region, Ms. Ka' Tuyen (33 years old, residing in Ta Lai commune) impressed the audience with her spirit of dedication to the community.

As a young person, Ms. Ka' Tuyen has always been concerned about how to preserve traditional crafts, create jobs and income, improve the lives of villagers, and help "keep" young people from "leaving" their hometowns. With 10 years of experience as a guide in the Nam Cat Tien forest, Ms. Ka' Tuyen has implemented the Ta Lai Eco Lodge Community Tourism Development Project, which officially launched in 2024.

Thanks to its high-quality service and the use of social media platforms for advertising, reaching, and exploiting potential customers, Ta Lai Eco Lodge has captured 50% of the local tourism market, and its revenue is steadily increasing; the lives of ethnic minority women involved in tourism and handicraft production have also improved.
