The foreign language exam has a high level of differentiation.

3,204 candidates went to 6 examination centers to take the Foreign Language exam for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year.

After the afternoon Foreign Language exam, most candidates felt comfortable with the test questions.

Authorities are directing traffic at the exam site at Nguyen Du Specialized High School.

Nguyen Huy Le Dung, a student taking the entrance exam for the specialized Physics class at Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted (Tan An Ward), said: “The Foreign Language exam was quite good and topical, with questions about artificial intelligence. The grammar content of the exam also showed some innovation compared to previous exams, surprising the candidates. There were some questions that were beyond my capabilities, but that was to differentiate between students; I did better than expected.”

Pham Le Hong Han, a student taking the entrance exam for the 10th grade specialized Math class at Luong Van Chanh High School (Tuy Hoa ward), shared: “The English exam had a reading comprehension section and questions related to proverbs that were difficult. The exam was suitable for the junior high school curriculum, so I was able to answer about 90% and am quite satisfied with my performance.”

Commenting on the English exam, Mr. Ngo Duc Hoai Nam, Head of the Professional Department at Dam San Ethnic Boarding High School (Ea Drong commune), said that the exam structure closely followed the structure previously issued by the Department of Education and Training, and was consistent with the 2018 General Education Program. The exam also ensured differentiation in areas of knowledge acquisition: recognition, comprehension, and application (idioms, fixed phrases, questions requiring reasoning and generalization). However, to achieve a score of 9 or 10, students must be truly proficient. The exam content was diverse, limiting rote learning; it included questions related to artificial intelligence (AI), reflecting current knowledge and information.

According to a report from the Department of Education and Training, 3,204 candidates participated in the foreign language exam this afternoon across the province, with 95 absent.

Tomorrow morning (June 2nd), candidates will take the Mathematics exam in essay format; the exam duration is 120 minutes, starting at 7:30 AM.
