On the morning of January 20th, the People's Committee of Hung Yen province held a meeting to implement Notice No. 176 of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province regarding the conclusions of the Chairman of the People's Committee at working sessions with Hung Yen Specialized High School and Thai Binh Specialized High School.
At the meeting, leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen province, along with representatives from the two specialized high schools, reported specifically on the implementation of tasks according to Notice 176; clarified development orientations, infrastructure investment needs, and recommendations to improve the quality of advanced education in the province.
According to the draft plan "Development of Hung Yen Specialized High School in the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045", by 2030, the school will have 51 specialized classes with approximately 1,785 students.
The school has received comprehensive investment in infrastructure and modern teaching equipment, gradually approaching regional and international standards. Priority has been given to constructing facilities at a new location of approximately 7 hectares within the Pho Hien University Area, ensuring the provision of classrooms, laboratories, dormitories, sports facilities, and other supporting infrastructure.
The plan also identifies key tasks and solutions for developing a high-quality teaching staff, increasing the percentage of teachers meeting or exceeding standards; promoting the teaching of science subjects in English; and strengthening cooperation and professional exchange both domestically and internationally.

According to the school's leadership, the number of students at Thai Binh Specialized High School has continued to increase in recent years, while the existing facilities have revealed many limitations and do not meet the requirements for organizing two-session-per-day teaching and the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Therefore, Thai Binh Specialized High School proposes investing in the construction of a new 5-6 story academic building along with supporting facilities; simultaneously renovating and repairing the existing 6-story academic building, the student dormitory area, and improving the overall pedagogical landscape.
At the meeting, leaders of departments, agencies, and units focused on discussing and clarifying the legal basis, practical realities, and urgent requirements for investing in infrastructure and orienting the development of two specialized high schools in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem emphasized: Along with focusing on economic development, the province places increasingly high expectations on the quality of education, in which it is determined that the two specialized high schools must be truly worthy, becoming places for nurturing and training talented individuals, serving the need for training high-quality human resources capable of international integration and cooperation.
Mr. Nghiem suggested that the Department of Education and Training should incorporate the discussed opinions, research, and review the objectives and tasks of the school network planning, school size, ensuring they are consistent with the population growth, urban development, and the needs of high-tech industry development and the Free Economic Zone in the province…
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province also instructed relevant departments and agencies to continue researching, reviewing, and finalizing the two related projects and reports, completing them by January 2026 for submission to the Provincial People's Committee.
