(VTC News) – The atmosphere leading up to the Grand Finale of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival – DIFF 2024 is heating up day by day, with many hotels and viewing stands already fully booked.

The final night, held on July 13th, was considered the most exciting in all the DIFF seasons to date, with a rematch between two "arch-rivals" Finland and China, making Da Nang the hottest destination these days.

Many people choose to go to Sky36 – the highest bar in Da Nang – to watch the fireworks.

According to the organizers, tickets for the final night sold out very early. Therefore, many tourists visiting Da Nang during this period are having to search for fireworks viewing spots outside of Tran Hung Dao Street (Son Tra District). On social media forums about Da Nang tourism , numerous posts are looking for places to watch the fireworks, with many customers even seeking out restaurants quite far away with high-floor balconies.

The number of flights to Da Nang during this period has also increased significantly. It is estimated that Da Nang receives an average of 110-120 flights per day, with approximately 150 flights on July 13th, 2024 (the day of the DIFF 2024 final), representing a 25-35% increase compared to normal.

Ms. Thu Hang, the owner of a homestay on Tran Bach Dang Street (Son Tra District, Da Nang), said: " Many tourists are careless and wait until the last minute to book hotel rooms, so now it's very difficult to find rooms. Our place has already sold out all rooms on booking platforms a long time ago."

"Our apartment has a city view, allowing us to watch the fireworks from afar, so on nights with fireworks displays, there's a surcharge of 10-15% higher than usual, but guests are still happy to book ."

According to information from the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments during the first three nights of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024 reached 198,257, an increase of 11.7% compared to DIFF 2023. It is predicted that the number of guests staying overnight during the fireworks finale will increase even further.

Many hotels and restaurants with high vantage points are chosen by tourists as ideal places to watch the fireworks.

According to statistics from the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in the first six months of the year, the city experienced a growth in tourist numbers exceeding expectations, especially international visitors, surpassing even the peak period of 2019, increasing by more than 40% compared to 2023, reaching 2 million international visitors out of a total of 5.1 million visitors. It can be seen that, along with many famous destinations and large-scale festivals, the Da Nang International Festival (DIFF) has "built a bridge" to help more and more international tourists learn about and visit the city on the Han River.
