Today, July 24, Hanoi National University (VNU) held a meeting of the training scientific council to evaluate 6 medical master's training programs of VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The school's programs are designed with an application orientation that combines in-depth theory and clinical practice, meeting the training needs of important specialties in the medical field.

According to the training plan of 6 new master's programs, these are specialized master's programs opened on the basis of 2 approved master's programs in internal medicine and master's programs in surgery.
In particular, internal medicine specialties include: internal medicine; internal medicine; emergency resuscitation and anti-poisoning; infectious diseases and tropical diseases. Surgical specialties include: urology and gender medicine; plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
The Council unanimously approved the programs with some adjustments and additions to improve the feasibility and quality of training. The new master's programs will be enrolled from October 2025.
Thus, from next October, VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy will train 18 master's programs and 13 residency programs.
Currently, the scale of postgraduate enrollment of VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy is among the highest of Hanoi National University. This is also the school with the highest proportion of postgraduate training among universities in the country (reaching 550 postgraduate targets in 2025 compared to 720 university targets).
