Go to the end of voters' recommendations

Listening to and resolving voters’ opinions, recommendations and aspirations in recent times has always been a focus of the Provincial People’s Council and authorities at all levels of Quang Ninh . Thereby, contributing to strengthening voters’ trust in the People’s Council delegates and local authorities.

The main road of Van Ninh commune (Mong Cai city) from Cau Voi village to the intersection of bridge number 4 (Bac village) at the curve of Lui pagoda, which was previously out of sight, has now been cleared of roadside trees, widened and paved with aggregate.

With the spirit of going to the end in resolving voters' petitions, before each session of the Provincial People's Council, thematic supervision activities on the settlement of voters' petitions are always actively implemented. The committees of the Provincial People's Council have proactively supervised and grasped the settlement of voters' petitions in their areas of responsibility, and at the same time examined the settlement results report of the Provincial People's Committee; in principle, all opinions and petitions of voters transferred by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to the People's Committees at all levels and relevant agencies must be considered, resolved and answered to voters clearly, specifically, and within the prescribed time.

In fact, the process of resolving issues related to many fields has had close coordination between agencies, departments, branches and local People's Committees on the basis of shared responsibility. In 2024, along with resolving opinions and recommendations sent by voters to the regular mid-year session of the Provincial People's Council, localities will also continue to study, receive, resolve and respond to recommendations that have not been completely resolved in previous sessions.

With the close supervision and urging of the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Council committees, the Provincial People's Council delegations, and the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the coordination of agencies and units, most of the opinions and recommendations of voters have been resolved promptly. This result has contributed to gradually improving the efficiency and effectiveness of state power agencies' management, protecting the rights and interests of citizens, stabilizing the situation, and promoting socio-economic development in the locality.

Small-scale industrial production facilities causing environmental pollution were relocated to Cam Thinh Industrial Park (Cam Pha City) according to Resolution No. 201/2019/NQ-HDND dated July 30, 2019 of the Provincial People's Council.

The main road of Van Ninh commune (Mong Cai city) from Cau Voi village to the intersection of bridge No. 4 (Bac village) at the curve of Lui pagoda in the past had limited visibility, so traffic accidents often occurred. In response to voters' opinions, Van Ninh commune People's Committee has recently coordinated with relevant departments to install warning signs at this curve. At the same time, it has coordinated with the City Project Management Board to regularly clear, level the curbs, and cut grass on both sides of the road to ensure visibility; and deploy painting of speed bump clusters.

Van Ninh Commune People's Committee has mobilized the public to pour aggregate, widening the curve by nearly 2m, which has now ensured good traffic safety for vehicles participating in traffic. Mr. Hoang Van Sinh (Cau Voi village, Van Ninh commune) said: With the attention of the local government, the voters' petition has been resolved. However, we hope that in the future, the locality will continue to pay attention to pouring concrete on this curve to make it more convenient for people to travel.

Recently, voters of Tien Yen district have requested the province to direct the review and early submission to the competent authority for approval of the adjustment of the planning of the area of protection forests that has been reviewed and proposed for adjustment by the District People's Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department's consulting unit, which was previously the area of people's production forests, but was included in the Planning of protection forests and some areas of protection forests classified as "poor forests" were assigned to the District Protection Forest Management Board for management, so that people can effectively develop the forest economy . To resolve the voters' recommendations, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a document directing the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to continue reviewing, updating and completing the project in sync with the results of the provincial forest inventory and the forestry map in the Provincial Planning and the national forestry planning map. Currently, the above maps are in the finalization stage; after these maps are published, they will be the basis for the Provincial People's Committee to approve and implement the project.

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee on the situation and results of handling voters' petitions sent to the regular session in mid-2024 and petitions that have not been resolved in previous sessions of the Provincial People's Council, up to now, 37/37 petitions of voters have been directed by the Provincial People's Committee to be resolved. Of which, 29 petitions have been resolved, explained, and informed to voters; 8 petitions are being resolved.
