Closely check and thoroughly resolve voters' petitions

Reporting on the results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, Chairman of the People's Aspirations and Supervision Committee Duong Thanh Binh affirmed that the reception, study and settlement of voters' petitions have contributed to removing difficulties and obstacles, promoting socio-economic development and creating trust for voters and people nationwide.

97.4% of petitions are resolved and responded to

Reporting on the situation of petitions and the results of resolving and responding to voters' petitions, Chairman of the People's Aspirations and Supervision Committee Duong Thanh Binh said that through the meetings with voters of National Assembly deputies, 1,472 petitions were compiled and sent to competent agencies for settlement, of which 1,433 petitions were resolved and responded to, reaching 97.4%.

Of which, the National Assembly and its agencies received and responded to 39/39 petitions, reaching 100%. Voters welcomed and agreed with the strong and comprehensive innovation of the National Assembly. The activities of the National Assembly are increasingly democratic, public, transparent, and closely connected with the people. Many issues of concern and petition of voters have been accepted by the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee, closely linked with legislative activities, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country. Voter contact activities have been highly effective, especially through voter contact, Party and State leaders have directly listened to and responded to many issues of concern of voters, creating trust of voters and people nationwide.

The National Assembly has strongly innovated in the thinking of law-making, in the direction that legal provisions must be stable, simple, easy to implement, with people and businesses at the center, ensuring the unity and synchronization of the legal system, meeting the development requirements of the country.

In particular, the National Assembly has promptly institutionalized the Party's major policies in arranging and streamlining the political system's apparatus, building a two-level local government model, and continuing to remove legal difficulties and obstacles, creating institutional breakthroughs to bring the country into the era of modernization, digital transformation, green transformation and sustainable development.

Supervision activities continue to be carried out in the direction of continuous innovation, with focus and key points, concentrating on pressing issues that arise in socio -economic life, attracting widespread attention from voters and the people.

Chairman of the People's Aspirations and Supervision Committee Duong Thanh Binh also said that the Government and central ministries and branches have resolved and responded to 1,372/1,410 petitions, reaching 97.3%.

Voters highly appreciate the Government, Central Ministries and branches for their resolute direction in implementing many solutions for economic development and stabilizing people's lives. National Assembly Resolutions have been seriously implemented, many commitments and promises have been fulfilled, creating people's trust in the Government's management. Resolving and responding to voters' petitions is one of the key tasks that the Government, Central Ministries and branches have focused on implementing. The quality of resolving and responding to voters' petitions has been increasingly improved.

Many ministries and branches have innovated in handling voters' petitions such as: proactively grasping information and shortcomings from localities in areas under the state management responsibility of ministries and branches, on the basis of receiving voters' petitions to promptly propose a roadmap for resolution.

Some voters' petitions were answered ahead of schedule or practical solutions were proposed by ministries and branches to meet voters' wishes, which were highly appreciated by voters, such as: Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Health, State Bank of Vietnam, Supreme People's Procuracy...

Voters' petitions are resolved quickly and promptly, demonstrating the Party and State's concern for people's lives as well as the high responsibility of the Government, Ministries and Central branches. Receiving, studying and resolving voters' petitions has contributed to removing difficulties and obstacles, promoting socio-economic development, stabilizing social order and security, improving people's lives, and creating trust for voters and people nationwide.

Ministries and branches need to pay attention to directing, closely inspecting, and thoroughly resolving voters' petitions.

Pointing out some problems in handling voters' petitions, Chairman of the People's Aspirations and Supervision Committee Duong Thanh Binh said that some issues raised by voters have not been promptly resolved, causing difficulties for localities in implementation.

Solving some issues that directly affect people's lives requires close direction and inspection from ministries and branches. Along with that, some voters' recommendations on amending and supplementing policies for medical staff and employees are slow to be resolved.

Chairman of the Committee for People's Aspirations and Supervision Duong Thanh Binh suggested that ministries and branches need to comprehensively review, amend and supplement legal documents guiding the implementation of policies and laws related to issues petitioned by voters; pay attention to directing and closely inspecting the final settlement of voters' petitions, especially for issues that directly affect people's lives.
