Resolution and response to voters' petitions reached 99.7%.

At the opening session of the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly on the morning of May 20, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the People's Petition Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee Duong Thanh Binh presented a report on the results of supervising the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Head of the National Assembly Standing Committee's Petition Committee Duong Thanh Binh said that through meetings with voters by National Assembly deputies, 2,216 petitions have been compiled and sent to competent authorities for resolution.

Voters' petitions (KNCT) relate to most areas of social life, including some areas that many voters are interested in such as: labor, war invalids and social affairs; health; transportation; education and training; agriculture and rural areas. Up to now, the petitions have been resolved and responded to voters, reaching 99.7%.

Specifically, the National Assembly and its agencies have fully responded to 62/62 recommendations. Incorporating KNCT, the National Assembly has made many improvements and innovations in law-making, and the laws, once promulgated, ensure feasibility and stable and long-term implementation. Supervision activities continue to demonstrate continuous innovation, focused supervision of pressing issues arising in the country's socio -economic life, and the results have been widely recognized by voters and people...

Along with that, the Government, ministries and central branches have also focused on resolving KNCT, showing receptiveness, being proactive and proactive in overcoming limitations; proposing many measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of management and operation work.

Researching, absorbing and resolving KNCT has contributed to removing many difficulties and obstacles, promoting socio-economic development, stabilizing social order and security, improving people's lives, and creating trust for voters and people nationwide.

In addition, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuracy have resolved and responded to 16/16 recommendations on building facilities and equipment to serve online trials; increasing the number of prosecutors; and providing guidance on the implementation of the Penal Code...

However, the report on the results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions also pointed out that the sending of reports summarizing voters' petitions through periodic voter meetings before and after the 6th Session of a number of National Assembly delegations did not ensure the deadline as prescribed; petitions under the jurisdiction of localities were still collected and requested to be resolved by central agencies.

Regarding the recommendations, the report on the results of supervision stated that in the coming time, the agencies of the National Assembly will continue to further strengthen the quality of supervision activities on the promulgation of legal documents; the National Assembly delegations will improve the quality of synthesizing, classifying and handling complaints and denunciations; and ensure the progress and time for sending the summary report on complaints and denunciations after the National Assembly deputies meet with voters as prescribed.

At the same time, the Government needs to direct ministries and branches to resolve the limitations as stated in the report; review and thoroughly resolve recommendations that are in the process of being resolved, ensuring quality resolution, following the roadmap reported to voters.
