The late writers, musicians, and painters, whose names were placed on the streets by Dien Bien province on this occasion, include: Nguyen Thanh, Huu Mai, Nam Cao, Nguyen Tuan, Ngo Manh Lan and Heroic Martyr Pham Van Cuong, a drug police officer of Lai Chau Provincial Police (now Dien Bien Provincial Police) who sacrificed his life in the fight against drug crimes in Dien Bien province...

On the morning of August 26, in the presence of relatives of the late painter, People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan and many ethnic people of Dien Bien province, the People's Committee of Dien Bien Phu ward solemnly held a ceremony to name a street sign after the late painter, People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan.

Painter and People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan is the founder of the animation industry in Vietnam. His name is associated with a series of memorable animated works, such as "The Adventures of Men the Cricket", "The Story of Mr. Giong", "Catfish", "Thach Sanh", "The Miracle of Resurrection"...

Painter and People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign and recorded many vivid sketches. Currently, the works are being preserved and displayed at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum.

To commemorate and pay tribute to the contributions of the painter and People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan, Dien Bien province has chosen the central road in Dien Bien Phu ward to be named after him. The road is 310m long and 11.5m wide; located next to the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum; the first line is adjacent to Vo Nguyen Giap Street, the last point is adjacent to the planned road along the Nam Rom River.
