Huoi Luong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, formerly Huoi Luong Secondary School, was established in 2005. Good and creative deeds of collectives and individuals are promptly commended and rewarded, creating motivation to encourage cadres, civil servants and workers to strive as well as spreading good deeds throughout the school.

Up to now, the school's staff, teachers and employees have always complied with the rules and regulations. 100% of staff, teachers and employees have good professional ethics and have not violated teachers' ethics. 22/23 teachers have met the standard qualifications. In particular, the comrades in the Board of Directors have constantly innovated management and operation methods; assigned tasks reasonably; and motivated employees and workers in their work. The teaching staff has actively innovated teaching methods, teaching by topics in all grades, prioritizing methods that promote positivity, teamwork spirit and the spirit of helping each other in learning among students.

Teachers focus on improving the quality of students in 8 basic cultural subjects, focusing on improving the quality of the subjects: Literature, Math, English in all grades. Effectively implement teaching according to regional subjects, closely following knowledge and skills standards. Improve the effectiveness of afternoon and evening review work for students. In addition, teachers pay attention to the work of nurturing excellent students, tutoring weak students; strictly implement the 2018 general education program for grades 6, 7, 8. Thanks to that, the school's attendance rate is always at an average of 95% or higher. The quality of comprehensive education and key education is increasingly improved. In the 2023-2024 school year alone, the school has 15 classes with 638 students. At the end of the first semester, 100% of students were ranked as having average conduct or above (good conduct accounted for 81.5%), 95% of students were ranked as having average academic performance or above (excellent conduct accounted for 4.7%).

In recognition of these efforts, for many consecutive years the school has been recognized as an advanced labor collective, an excellent labor collective, and the Party cell has successfully completed its tasks and has been commended by all levels.
