Dinh Bac said that the decisive goal against Saudi Arabia was something he had practiced very carefully.

Striker Nguyen Dinh Bac – who scored the only goal and was voted Man of the Match – believes that the victory against U23 Saudi Arabia was the result of team spirit and collective effort.

"Playing against the home team is always very difficult. The whole team played with unity and solidarity, and this is a well-deserved result for the efforts of all the players participating in this tournament," Dinh Bac shared.

Speaking about the decisive goal, Dinh Bac revealed that it was the result of meticulous preparation by the coaching staff: "Before going onto the field in the second half, Coach Kim Sang Sik and the other coaches in the coaching staff instilled in us the spirit to fight with all our might, maintain a reasonable formation because the whole team had gone through two high-intensity matches and suffered some injuries."

"When attacking, we were instructed to exploit the flanks or the spaces behind the opponent's defense. My goal came from exactly the plans that had been prepared. I would like to thank the coaching staff and my teammates for their support in securing the goal and the important three points," Dinh Bac said.

With this victory, Vietnam U23 finished the group stage with a perfect 9 points, achieving a historic first-ever 100-0 record in all three group stage matches and securing first place in Group A. Jordan U23 finished second with 6 points and, along with coach Kim Sang Sik's team, advanced to the next round, while Saudi Arabia U23 were eliminated early on home soil.
