A customer nearly lost 6 billion VND for checking their Southern Vietnam lottery ticket too late.

(NLĐO) - Today, June 2nd, the Southern Vietnam lottery will hold its draw for tickets from three stations: Ben Tre, Vung Tau, and Bac Lieu.

On the morning of June 2nd, informing reporters from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper about the results of the Southern lottery, Mr. Luu Quoc Duy – owner of Duy lottery ticket agency in Tra Vinh ward, Vinh Long province – said that he had just belatedly claimed the winnings of 3 Tra Vinh lottery tickets (number sequence 512263 ), drawn by Tra Vinh Lottery Construction Company Limited on the afternoon of May 29th.

"A gold shop that exchanged the winnings for a jackpot prize contacted Duy, the lottery agent, to exchange the prize," Duy informed.

Previously, on May 29th, immediately after the Southern Vietnam lottery results were announced, Duy lottery ticket agency paid out prizes to many customers who won the third prize (16 tickets) and the consolation prize (5 tickets from Tra Vinh).

On May 27th and 28th, Duy lottery ticket agency also awarded prizes to many lucky customers who won 16 consolation prizes and 2 jackpot prizes in Soc Trang, as drawn by Soc Trang Lottery Company Limited on the afternoon of May 27th.
